I am a Reader in Economics Education at the University of Bristol.

I am interested in questions about how to improve education; my research centres on two key areas; the Economics of Education, and the Education of Economics, with publications in journals including the Journal of Public Economics, and Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education.

I am particularly interested in using empirical methods from the toolkit of an applied economist to analyse the impact of pedagogical innovation within Higher Education.

I have taught students in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, applied economics, and microeconomic theory, but my current focus is on Introductory Econometrics, and Applied Economics.
