Dr. Sanjay Kumar Gupta

I am a practicing urologist and kidney transplant surgeon with an overall 40 years' experience and 24 years of experience in urology.

In my 40-year professional journey with the Indian Army, I have worked at Army Hospital R&R Delhi, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, and various Command Hospitals.

 I have also led the Urology practice of Delhi's Moolchand Hospital, Venkateshwar Hospital, Park Hospital, Bansal   ( Artemis Lite Hospital), Pratiksha ( Marengo Asia) Hospital and Medeor multispeciality hospitals.

As a seasoned transplant surgeon, I have been associated with over 500 live renal transplants and 30 deceased donor transplants. 

My areas of expertise include:

• Endourology for Prostate    (TURP) 

•  Stone Diseases        ( PCNL, RIRS) 

• Laser Procedures for Prostate and Stone Diseases 

• Female and Pediatric Urology

                                    ( UTI,Urine leakage, VVF )

• Reconstructive Urology: injured Urethra, birth defects of urinary tract

• Uro-Oncology (kidney, bladder, prostate cancers)                                              (Nephrectomy, TURBT)

Apart from surgery, I have a passion for teaching and mentoring, having taught at the Department of Urology, Army Hospital R&R Delhi for 8 years, guiding students for their thesis in DNB (Urology) & DNB (Gen. Surgery). I have also worked as a Professor of Surgery under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences while serving at Command Hospital (SC) Pune, teaching undergraduate students at AFMC.

I have over 30 papers/presentations in national and international journals and conferences. I have also published two book chapters and completed two urology research projects for the Indian Armed Forces.
