Our paper, Flatness-Aware Gradient Descent for Safe Conversational AI, has been selected as a Spotlight Paper for the TrustNLP Workshop at NAACL. Dr. Saeid Hosseini (Data Scientist) is currently an Associate professor at Sohar University, within the faculty of Computing and information technology department (FCIT).
He completed the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the University of Queensland, Australia (Aug. 2017)
He did his Ph.D. in the DKE group, School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Queensland, Australia, supervised by Prof. Xiaofang Zhou and Prof. Shazia Sadiq.
Dr. Hosseini was also a senior web developer in Australia, he has more than 10 years of experience (.Net technology and MS SQL server DBMS). Developing massive business websites, including www.forkliftaction.com, a global portal that has more than 100,000 industry clients world-wide. He has also developed more than 20 mid and large-scale websites that are all serving the Australian businesses.
He obtained his M.Sc. from the Queensland University Of Technology, Australia in 2012, and his B.E. in Computer Science from Azad University, Tehran North Branch, Iran in 2000.
He completed post-doc research studies at Singapore University of Technology and Design (under supervision of A./Prof. Zhang Meihui and recently Prof. Ngai-Man (Man) Cheung) and Iran University of Science and Technology from 2018 to 2020.
Dr. Hosseini's research interests mainly focus on crowdsourcing, recommendation systems, Spatio-temporal databases, and social network analytics. And he also has up-to-date knowledge regarding .net web application development.
