I am an academic leader, researcher, and cultural strategist dedicated to transforming higher education in India. As the Head of Jagran School of Design, I oversee undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs while driving innovation in curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and institutional outreach. My work blends art history, design thinking, and higher education policies to create learner-centric, industry-aligned education models.
With a PhD from Panjab University, Chandigarh, an MFA from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and a D.Litt. (h.c.) from hassen International University, Germany my academic journey has been deeply rooted in research, pedagogy, and cultural discourse/s. I have authored and edited multiple books, contributed to over 20 research papers and 100 + articles, and engaged in extensive curatorial work with galleries, museums, and festivals. As a judge for the QS Reimagine Education Awards, I contribute to recognizing global innovations in learning.
Beyond academia, I have been involved in research supervision, academic administration, and policy formulation. My expertise spans art curation, exhibition design, indigenous knowledge systems, postcolonial discourses, and emerging technologies in education. My contributions have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades.
