I investigate about conditions of formation and tectonic settings of magmatic mineralizations of chromite, nickel-copper sulphides and Platinum-Group Elements (PGE). The aim is to understand the genesis, styles of emplacement, and the reasons for economic concentrations of these minerals. The additional aim for studying these mineral deposits is to use them as tools to fingerprint the supercontinental cycles, and trace the secular changes in the tectonic styles and magmatic processes of the Earth. I use extensive field geology along with petrological and geochemical studies to achieve my research objectives. The geochemical study incorporates detailed study of bulk rock major element, trace element and PGE along with isotope geochemistry (e.g., Sm-Nd, Pb-Pb, Rb-Sr), which is integrated with mineral chemistry using EPMA and LA-ICPMS to get a comprehensive idea about ore genesis.
