Research Collaboration
Dr. Manish Kumar is a Research Associate at the National Centre for Combustion and Aero-thermal Technology (NCCAT), Loughborough University, UK. He works on a Rolls-Royce–funded project to improve aerodynamics and develop advanced afterburner systems for future gas turbines.
He earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, focusing on spray and combustion of alternative aviation fuels. He also holds an M.E. in Space Engineering and Rocketry from BIT Mesra and a B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering from Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science.
Dr. Kumar has extensive experience in propulsion, combustion, and fluid dynamics, with prior research roles at the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology and academic positions in India.
His expertise covers atomization, combustion, cold flow studies, and fuel reforming, using both experimental and numerical tools such as CFD, CHEMKIN, and GT-SUITE.
