I am currently employed as a lecturer (assistant professor) at the Department of Mathematics, University of Manchester. My primary focus of research lies in the field of high-dimensional statistics, while also maintaining a broad interest in research reproducibility, large-scale testing, and robust estimation techniques.
Prior to my current role, I held a lecturer (assistant professor) position at the University of East Anglia. I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Research Foundation-Flanders (FWO) between November 2020 and January 2023. In the meantime, I was a visiting scholar at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities from August 2022 to November 2022. And I held a guest professor position at WE02, Ghent University, from February 2022 to August 2022.
I obtained my PhD degree at ORStat, KU Leuven, under Professor Gerda Claeskens in May 2020.
In addition, I hold a Master's degree from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the School of Management, University of Science and Technology of China.
In my spare time, I like (slow) cycling, hiking, and sketching (the header for the "Teaching" page is from me :) I also love playing action RPG and The Witcher 3 is my all-time favorite.
