At present, Dr. Avishek Banerjee is affiliated with Asansol Engineering College as HoD -IT department. His past teaching institute was Bennett University, Greater Noida, (AY 2021-22) and Asansol Engineering College, Asansol (from 2005 to 2021). His past research affiliation was: "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi, Romania. (From 2014 to 2016). He has a consistent educational background in Information Technology (IT). He received Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from Jadavpur University in the year of 2019. During his doctoral studies, he was an Erasmus Mundus research scholar on mobility (sponsored by the European Union) at the Faculty of Power Engineering and Information Technology, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Romania. He received Master of Technology from Calcutta University, and Bachelor of Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, India. He authored many SCI journals in Soft-Computing, Applied Soft-Computing, Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, COMPUTERS MATERIALS & CONTINUA, Super-Computing, etc. He authored many international conference papers and book chapters. Currently more than 150 citations recorded against his name. He also published 2 Indian patents and one copyright. His primary research interests include the areas related to Reliability Optimization of Wireless Sensor Network and Reliability enhancement of Power Distribution System, Cloud Computing, Fog Computing, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
