(Barangay Roll out)
The Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) strives to improve nutrition outcomes by ensuring accurate and reliable data for effective and evidence-based planning, monitoring, and evaluation. PMNP relies on data collected through the Field Health Services Information System (FHSIS) and Operation Timbang Plus (OPT Plus) as part of this commitment. These critical tools provide timely, community-level health and nutrition data. These data sources inform policies, track progress, and guide interventions to reduce malnutrition rates and enhance overall community health. To ensure that data-driven decisions are reliable, the quality of these datasets must be thoroughly assessed, verified, and certified.
Data accuracy is foundational to any successful program. A DQC ensures that reported health and nutrition indicators reflect the true health situation of the population. Verifying the data accuracy in FHSIS and OPT Plus helps prevent reporting errors that could lead to misguided policies or ineffective interventions. An accurate dataset enables stakeholders to identify priority areas, allocate resources effectively, and design interventions that respond to community needs.
Recognizing the Field Health Services Information System (FHSIS) and Operation Timbang Plus (OPT Plus) as vital tools for data collection, it is crucial to assess data quality to ensure informed decision-making, consistent reporting, and alignment with national nutrition targets.
