SEXUAL FREEDOM IS POSSIBLE
Are you looking for new tools to integrate sexual wellness into your current sobriety path?
Is there a part of your program that feels undiscovered around your unique sexual needs and desires?
What if there were another perspective?
Finding a way to move through the world of connecting with other like-minded men can be challenging whether you are in recovery or not.
Sometimes working with someone who will meet you where you are can be incredibly helpful.

Welcome! I'm glad you're here. My name is David Wichman, and I am an author, speaker, and certified Conscious Recovery™ coach with a focus on sexual wellness. I have been creating workshops and writing about sex and sobriety for many years.
It is my deepest passion to witness men at the intersection of sexual freedom in recovery and I am dedicated to helping Queer, Gay, Bi, and Trans-identified men navigate the sacred and beautiful nature of sex love and intimacy.
If you are in recovery or seeking guidance around sex in recovery, I hope you will explore working with me free of dogma, shame and judgement.
(NOTE: You do not have to be in recovery to work with me.)
Have you felt confused, judged or does your sexual ideal feel out of place in your recovery community?
What if traditional methods often suggested in sober environments don't work for everyone?
Is there a larger conversation to be had around sexual abstinence messaging?
What happens when supportive environments and sober mentors make suggestions such as deleting hookup apps or to stop having sex or they are shaming pornography?
What is being created when we begin to see sex as a problem or fixing?
Is this actually helping Queer men embrace their whole sober experience?
Are these well meaning suggestions sustainable?
What does it look like to develop new tools that allow Queer, Bi, Gay and /or Trans identifying men to experience sexual wellness in ways that are empowering and shame free?
This is the work I love to do and have been doing for over 16 years. Much of what I share in my practice comes from my personal experiences and many years of working with men in and out of recovery. I also draw inspiration from the groundbreaking book, "Conscious Recovery"™ by TJ Woodword. If you're ready to explore your inner sexy and make empowering changes in your sex life and journey towards essential wholeness, I invite you to join me.
Let's navigate the root causes of shame-based imprints and apply practical guidance towards shifting the narrative from brokenness to remembering your wholeness.
Together we explore and learn to:
Bring shame into the light as an empowering tool towards freedom, without having to re-open the wound over and over again.
Learn to witness the parts of yourself that you may have exiled, shut down, or stuffed away.
Overcome obstacles or challenges that have been holding you back and blocking you from truly being who you are in the bedroom, in your relationships, and in your sobriety.
Explore living beyond the beliefs and ideas that keep reminding us of not-enoughness and return to a sense of sexual well-being.
Have valuable tools to trace the root causes beneath the behaviors and obstacles that keep you stuck.
Unlearn core false beliefs and ideas passed down to you about yourself, your sexuality and your desires.
Integrate and witness all of our emotions and learn to navigate our judgements beyond the ideas of good, bad, right and wrong.
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”― Rumi
"After struggling for a long time to achieve sobriety, I still felt broken, even years into recovery. I believed there was an emptiness within me that needed constant fixing. But when I discovered the Conscious Recovery Method™, I realized that this emptiness was an invitation, not a flaw. I stopped trying to fix something that wasn't broken and focused on unlearning old ideas that held me back. This shift allowed me to witness new layers in my sober sexual experiences, not just for myself, but also for the men I worked with."
