Weldboy is the Black Rock Station Manager. He oversees the Auto Shop, Specialty Construction, Ranch Operations, and Mobile Housing Maintenance; he has been involved with the DPW since 2005. Weldboy has held management positions in Heavy Equipment and Playa Restoration (LEAVE NO TRACE!).
While these crews and operations now technically fall under the Burning Man Nevada Operations department based in Gerlach year-round, their roots grew from years of hard work as DPW, pushing timelines earlier and earlier every year trying to keep up with the greater asset maintenance workloads that are vital to all of our operations. The DPW experience would not be the same without these crews!
