With this method, you see DPDR as a seperate person in your head. You need to see it as something that keeps grabbing the steering wheel in your head, because it thinks you need assistance in your day-to-day life. It sees danger in basic things, so to say.
You need to tell it to "Let go of the steering wheel", and that you can do it on your own. This could help you recover, completely. the goal is that eventually, DPDR steps out of the vehicle completely, and that you feel completely attached and real again.
