Privacy Policy for MediaBox
Last Updated: May 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we ("we", "us", or "our") collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the MediaBox mobile application (the "App" or "Service") or otherwise contact us.
By using the App, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Scope
This Policy applies to MediaBox and its in-app features, including local media playback, local media library management, playback progress, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, notifications, and customer support.
The App is designed as a local media player. It does not provide an in-app web browser, webpage search, URL input for media retrieval, webpage parsing, request interception, script injection, video detection from websites, playlist handling, DRM bypass, copyright circumvention, or network media saving features.

Approximate location:
- Approximate location may be inferred by third-party partners from IP address or network information for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, compliance, and security. We do not collect precise GPS location.
Local Media Files and Playback Data
MediaBox opens videos only through the Android system file picker. When you select a local video, Android grants the App access to that specific file or content URI.
The App may store the selected media reference, title, added time, playback position, and related local playback metadata on your device so that you can reopen the file and resume playback. These local media references and playback records are used for App functionality.
We do not upload your local video files to our servers. We do not scan your full device storage. We do not share your selected local video files with advertising or analytics partners.

We use information for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the App.
