Zule Zoo is a Nigerian music duo that formed in the late 1990s by Michael Aboh and Al-Hassan Ibrahim who were both from Benue State.[1][2] They are known for their fusion of different musical genres such as traditional Nigerian rhythms, hip-hop, and reggae.[3]

Bidi was born on 13 March 1945. He did not finish formal schooling: with two younger sisters to put through school, he became breadwinner, earning their school fees through informal trading. He fell in love with music early, singing with the close-harmony Jazz Voices. His first instrument was a piano he brought home on a horse and cart.

The Goal: To open up new possibilities for music production via online collaboration and a new income stream for sound designers, session musicians and audio engineers. And why do we think it's possible? "Virtual" collaboration is already happening all over the music world, and AirGigs is just a central platform where people can post gigs for their skills and talents.

The Process: On AirGigs, sellers post gigs for music production services that they can deliver online. They set the terms, provide representative audio samples and specify what materials (rough mixes, session files, formats, etc) that they require from buyers. All communication and file exchange happens through the Airgigs system. Buyers can leave reviews of gigs they have purchased.

This is performed by men or boys standing in a straight line or arc. The music is balladic and the lyrics pertain to modern issues but use ancient melodies. Issues like aids, crime and migrant labour. The lead singer provides the counterpoint or rhythm. The music form symbolises life in rural Zululand and the townships. This dance has become internationally known.

ZG: Of course! There was Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James. Etta has a beautiful sense of music. There were many instrumentalists too. I love Louis Armstrong and bassist Avishai Cohen. among the more contemporary. So, my music is a mix of jazz and Blues. And I am a Cuban jazz singer with my own tradition too, a history of beautiful music.

ZG: Yes, at first it was really difficult especially working with men. And I have to study a lot and I have to have a lot of patience. There is this impression that if you did not graduate in music you are not a professional. 2351a5e196
