While most companies consider one of the paid subscription plans, Zoom Meetings offers some useful features with the free account. For instance, you can access Zoom Rooms to host virtual meetings with up to 100 people. The participants are visible on-screen in a grid-style display. Unfortunately, free users get only limited time for the meetings or conferences. Having said that, there are no time restrictions on one-on-one video calls.

However, a workgroup of IT leaders from across campus is developing a Stanford Zoom cloud recording retention policy for future use. Additional details will be communicated within the next few months as they become available.

For FERPA security reasons: If you record a Zoom session to the cloud, we strongly recommend that you do not share the cloud recording link. Either use the automatic integration between Zoom and the Media Library or download the recording to your computer and upload the file into the Media Library.

I use a Mac. Normally when I have recorded a meeting on the cloud, I can click on the three dots to the right of the recording and click on the 'Download' button. Immediately the files whizz up to the top of the screen to show the downloading process has started, with the progress showing as it downloads. Now when I click on DOWNLOAD, nothing happens. I have checked my download folder to see if they have actually downloaded and no sign of the files. I have also tried to use the 'share link' and passcode and download that way. That doesn't work wither. My employer and meeting participants are waiting for the recordings. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution to it?

I am having the exact same issue - have always recorded to the cloud then download on my mac - but suddenly there is no response when I download the file - nor does it play online even though it displays how long the recording is so it must be there. Frustrating - especially since on one has responded to your problem - can't find the solution.

I wanted to see if anyone in the Canvas Community is also experiencing problems with Cloud Recordings not appearing in the Zoom Integration under Cloud Recordings. This change in behavior started on October 21, 2020 at our institution where faculty reported receiving their email that the cloud recordings was available, went into their Canvas course, select Zoom from their course menu and then went to the Cloud Recordings tab. However, the Zoom meeting was not visible to the faculty member for them to Publish and share with their students.

The recordings do appear in the faculty's recording list at our institutions Zoom site salisbury.zoom.us. We have a help request open with Zoom, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this change in behavior with the integration.

I have an instructor with a similar issue. She recorded using the auto-record to the cloud setting. There were a couple of times the students joined before and after class which caused several short recordings to appear. The full class recording does not show up in Canvas, only the false starts. I can see the recording on the zoom.us website, but am unsure why it is not appearing in Canvas. Students access the recordings through Canvas, so we are concerned about the missing class recording.

I am currently having the same issue. Throughout the semester I have been watching my professors previous lecture through the cloud recording feature on canvas techzoom. Today nothing is showing up and it says that there are no recorded lectures. I contacted my professor and she said it is still showing up on her side. I am confused and do not know what to do.
