What is the problem? Please be detailed.

I have a modified ODK zebra printer driver in android studio. When I run and deploy the app directly to my tablet, it installs and prints the barcode labels correctly. This is not the case when I build the apk through Build menu >> Build Bundle/APKS >> APKs or through Build menu >> Generate signed Bundle/ APK >> APK.

I try to install the apk generated and get the error 'Application not available'.

ODK collect is updated frequently and it now has a nice user friendly interface.

Unfortunately other powerful ODK tools eg. ODK zebra printer and ODK sensors have been neglected. Currently these 2 tools are no longer in google play store. I believe I and other people using these tools would be very grateful if they are updated as often as ODK collect and made available.

Thanks in advance

I'm sorry the removal of the Zebra printer driver app from the Play Store has been disruptive to you. It has been hard to maintain and use secondary apps like that. We're hopeful that bringing printing directly into Collect will make it approachable to more users.

The ZQ200 series, ZQ112, ZQ120, ZR118, ZR138 printers require firmware version 88.01.04 or later to work with the app.

See this support article for instructions on where to get the firmware and how to upgrade your printer.

Just purchased the Zebra ZD410 and am at a complete loss as to how to set it up with my Macbook. I'm running Mac OS X. When I am on the Zebra site, there are drivers for Windows. Has anyone installed this label printer running a Mac?

2) I cannot print from the iPad through the zebra set up utilities app. It is not working and the Bluetooth connectivity is not very strong. How do I reliably connect square apple and the ZD410 for these barcodes?

Note: It is strongly recommended that customers download and install both the new ZXP Series 8 firmware and driver together to take advantage of the important changes. Due to a bug found in v3.01.00 FW related to Wi-Fi operation, v4.03.00 FW has fixed the bug, for users who operate in Wi-Fi, it will be necessary to download v4.03.00 FW with either Ethernet or USB. Version 04.03.00 of the firmware is being released in conjunction with a new ZXP Series 8 Driver version DZ8CG.05.00.00.00.

Tools, such as ZebraDesigner or Zebra Setup utilities (ZSU), do an automatic installation of the driver when the printer is connected to the computer and the printer is detected. When the driver is installed in the PC, the driver normally does a quick check of the printer and it determines the installation of the default driver based on the default control language of the printer. Depending on the type of printer, these languages can be defaulted to ZPL, CPCL, LINE_PRINT, EPL, etc.

When a user connects the ZQ510/520 printer to the computer, ZebraDesigner or ZSU will install the driver of this printer to work with CPCL, which also supports the LINE_PRINT mode. This scenario determines that when a user is working with ZebraDesigner, the tool will generate labels based on CPCL. In addition, if a user needs to download a font, the tool will work in CPCL. Fonts downloaded in CPCL have extensions in CPF.

If, for example, a user needs to print in ZPL and the driver is in CPCL, the driver will not recognize the fonts. The same situation occurs if a user wants to download CPCL fonts with a ZPL driver; the fonts will be not recognized. ZPL fonts usually have extensions in TTF.

This session includes an introduction and demonstration of the ZebraDesigner v3 label design tool, its general features, the Pro edition, the developer edition, and Windows drivers. Preview some of these new features we'll talk about in this blog.

The next step was to use NI Visa Driver Wizard to identify the zebra USB printer which was already plugged in with its Zebra windows drivers installed. Using the wizard you get the product ID and vendor ID for the printer and can let then the wizard create a driver for you.

However, . . . windows 10 would not allow installation of the device driver created by NI-VISA because it did not have a digital signature. At the moment, this is a huge issue for me since I do not have a certification to "sign" drivers.

Hello,

I am running into an odd issue with ZXP series 3 card printer. HR is using an HP laptop and is connecting to a Dell6000 docking station via a USB-C cable and the ZXP3 is connected to the docking station through a USB cable. About once every 2 weeks the printer will stop responding to printing requests and the print queue will fill up and then the HR person will come to me to fix it.

Once I get to the computer and open control Panel>Printers and Devices there are is usually a printer called ZXP Series 3 printer and at least 1 other printer called ZXP series 3 Printer (copy 1). Sometimes when they are printing the cards they choose the copy one and it works other times they choose the original and it works but inevitably they both stop working.

Is there a way to avoid having to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers everytime? I assume that the copies of the printer are coming from HR disconnecting their laptop to the docking station to take it to meetings in the conference, maybe restarting her computer at some point in the conference room, and then coming back to their office and connecting back to the docking station.

Does anyone have any recommendations for what I should do?

At one point, the Zebra tools were completely unnecessary to making the printer work. There are Zebra drivers for a couple of different protocols included with macOS and the printers can be setup manually. It might be worth looking at the setup with the tools and without - you may not need them. Once a working printer object is made, Jamf Admin can make a deployable printer queue.

Beyond reaching out to the vendor to see if they have an enterprise package you can try installing the package/application on your device, and the packaging the drivers from /Library/Printers/zebra and see if that is sufficient to deploy and have the printers function.

That is a question for the developers, not this forum. The usual reason is that

the license is wrong. In openSUSE, only software licensed under the GPL is

allowed. As the zebra cups driver is (implicitly) licensed under the GPL and the

LGPL, it should be OK. The only problem is that the zip file does not contain a

LICENSE file. Without that, the openSUSE maintainers might have decided that the

license is inappropriate and did not include the software.

On the MAC OS and some Linux versions it is built-in directly. The following examples are all based on the 1.4.2 version of the CUPS driver which requires installation of the Snow Leopard MAC OS. The CUPS contributors made significant changes to the 1.4.# interface compared to previous 1.3.# versions. Zebra was present in 1.3.# versions and once you get to the Zebra printer setup the options are basically the same.

The Zebra Network Printer driver allows Tulip Apps to print to network-enabled Zebra label printers that support printing over TCP using the Zebra Programming Language (ZPL). To confirm support for your particular printer, contact your Zebra distributor or test it out for yourself.

Hi Team,

ODK collect is actively maintained but not the odk sensor drivers. I work on tracking projects that require on demand printing and odk printer driver comes in handy. Is it possible to update these drivers for better compatibility with the latest odk collect?

Thank you

The printer languages/barcode label printers/RFID printers listed below are supported by the Loftware Print Server and the Loftware Label Manager. If your barcode printer or printer language is not listed here, please call 603.766.3630 (Option 3) to discuss your options. Loftware Barcode Printing software supports the following Printer Family Drivers and the specific label printer manufacturers (families) who support the associated language or emulation. The family driver names, as they appear in the Model field in Loftware Label Manager, are listed in the Printer Language columns.

If your printer or printer language is not listed here, please call 603.766.3630 (Option 3) to discuss your options. Listed below are barcode printers and barcode printer family drivers supported by Loftware.

At this point, you have installed the driver itself and now need to configure it for your specific printer. Select your printer model from the list. If you're using the most recent supported Heartland Retail hardware, you should choose ZDesignerZD410-203dpiZPL.

Once driver installation is complete, navigate to Control Panel >> Devices and Printers, then right click on your printer and select Printer Properties. Click Print Test Page ... if a test page prints, you have successfully installed your printer.

Installing the Generic Text Printer Driver for the Zebra or similar type of label printer will allow you to print ZPL directly from Notepad. This print driver supports all ASCII characters and most characters of other character sets, so you will be able to send text files like ZPL, TXT, or PRN containing the code. There will be no modification or file conversion to any other format in the middle of the printing process.

Can you elaborate on "ABAP Driver installation"? Data and Co files? I've never heard of this. I searched the zebra site and did not find anything. Also googling 'ABAP Driver installation' only returns your post. Thank you. 006ab0faaa
