Ans: A sound booster can amplify the speaker or headphone volume. It can be used to boost the volume of your iPhone and Android devices. You can easily listen to audio records, youtube videos, and much more.

Ans: Yes, such software distorts the audio if you use them at a maximum volume. This might also result in speaker damage. Hence, it is not advisable to not use such software at high volume continuously.

I had an extension called "sound booster - increase your volume" installed that allowed me to boost the audio in a tab. (Original Google page that was taken down here, still functioning Microsoft Edge page here)

Today, I was setting up a new computer and found that my favorite extension, 600% volume booster, has been removed from the Firefox extension store. I looked into it and I found that apparently the extension was injecting aliexpress affiliate links into pages without telling the user. Unfortunately, this extension is the only extension that works for me. I opened the extension up, and I believe I found the malicious script and commented it out. The extension seems to work fine with this function removed, and I found that it was also messing with TikTok video playback, and issue I had been dealing with for the past few months.

My question is, can someone who knows more than me about javascript take a look at the extension to ensure that I am not missing something obvious in the extension that is still a security risk? I have checked almost all the firefox volume booster extensions I can find and I am not able to find one with the compatibility that this one provides. I have a backup of the original untouched extension if that helps.

Worked for me, installed extension. Set the youtube volume to 30% (low enough to show the extension is working). Then I adjusted the volume in the Ultimate Volume Booster extension, It increase the sound easily.

Hi, the volume booster works only when I am using Chrome; I use a Chromebook. When I overlay the Brave browser, it is cut off from Chrome and so it does not work. Are you telling me that when use Brave, the Chrome extension works there too?

The Type 600 ratio relay volume booster is designed to use a pnuematic signal to produce an output pressure which has high flow capacity and can be amplified. This unit is most useful for systems requiring the conversion of a low flow control signal to the higher flow requirements of an operating system. Using an independent supply pressure for greater volume, the Type 600 relays up to 50 scfm (1,400 Nl/min) flow capacity to a final control element such as a valve actuator. The standard signal to output ratio is 1:1, however, the Type 600 is also available with an amplified ratio of 1:2, 1:3 and 1:6.

Some of the computers I listen to Pandora on have rather wimpy sound, even with Pandora's volume slider turned up to max, and the earbuds I'm using don't have any built-in volume control, so I've tried using a volume-booster extension to remedy this; unfortunately, they all appear to make Pandora go choppy when I turn them on. The browser I'm using is Google Chrome.

I work in a very noisy environment and have to always use volume boost with my bluetooth headset. I know it could be even louder because when an alarm goes off the podcast gets even louder until I snooze or dismiss it. I would love an adjustable volume booster up to maybe 200% instead of the 20-30% it boost now.

Thanks!

Keep up the great work!

I'm aware of other requests to "normalize" volume, for podcasts with volume that jumps around a lot, like during ads ( -general/suggestions/4209961). My problem is a podcast that is always quieter, even after toggling the current switch.

Having a dynamic volume boost would be great for if you want to have a second audio source playing on your phone as well. I've tried on several occasions to have Pandora running as well as listening to a podcast, but the current volume boost isn't enough to prevent Pandora from over powering.

This is a very unusual request. Maybe the podcasts you listen to don't have good audio quality and so their volumes are not optimized? I've had this problem with some specific podcasts and always tried to reach out to them, since it's a very easy problem to fix.

Otherwise, maybe you're not using the right headset for your environment? Boosting the volume even higher than your device's limit would undoubtedly damage your hearing.

I would really like to have a player (open source?) that offers volume boost, silence skip and variable speed playback. I think that if the project had those features, it would bea great bonus. Those features could almost be considered table stakes.

(Edit: while looking for Android solutions for this, I found that there is a setting in the developers options to turn off absolute volume, which means that I have two ways to control the volume: the headphones and the phone. I can find a better suited volume this way.)

Hello fellow Kemper users out there....I am having a challenge figuring out the best way to boost my volume to play a lead. I do not want to set the volume pedal to do this as I find the pedal position is sometimes almost full up without me knowing and my head room just went out the window. My wish would be to have my rig sound perfect, hit a button, and boost it for a solo, while not changing the tone at all...I would like to do this in any rig style...Simply just have the volume boosted and then come back....Thanks for the help....Rich

What I do is set up by performance so that my main rhythm sound occupies both positions 4 and 5 on my foot controller. I'll use 4 as my rhythm, and then in slot 5 I'll have the same thing but just turn up the volume on this slot. Maybe add a little delay etc. depending on what you like. You can also adjust the EQ to suit as well e.g. take some top end off if you want a thinker tone, add some mid if you prefer that.

if you don't want to use morphing (as it may be set for something else), I'd suggest using the Pure Boost in the X slot after the amp. It's volume boost goes up to "5" (whatever that is) and provides a nice solo boost on any slot selected. Takes up one Effect button, wherever you'd like.

Yep, morphing is the way to go. You can change all the parameters of what is "on" already. Increase gain, add compressor, delay, etc.. I go to the amplifier section and boost the volume there. What you can't do, is turn on or off stomps or effects only change values. So if I want to add a compressor to get some sustain on a solo but I don't want it on the regular rhythm sound, I just set all the values to zero so it has no effect on the regular "non morphed position" click the button to go to the "morph" (top light) and change the parameters. and store. Don't forget to store! There are videos and tutorials about this, it's very easy and awesome. I use a separate foot switch (you don't have to) just for the morph function so I don't have to worry about hitting the wrong button or two buttons on the remote (it's kind of small and buttons are close together)and screwing up the solo. Sometimes you can get over excited going into a solo part. I've done that a few times and it is embarrassing, that's what prompted me to add a switch on one of the pedal slots on the remote.

First, I have performances set up with specific amps going from Clean > Increaing Gain. I then go and volume balance the individual rigs by clicking on the 'Amplifier' button in the 'Stack' section, and accessing the base rig volume (using the stock Crunch rig as reference).

Next, I use the Morph function (without an expression pedal) by using the Slot select buttons on the remote. So, say I am in Slot 1. I hit the same button again and it changes to the Morphed version of Slot 1. I then go back into the 'Amplifier' menu, and adjust the volume 3db louder. I do this for each rig. (note: I may also tweak other things like EQ but for these rigs I am not doing any cool stomp/effects morphing, just setting up a base boost).

My elderly mother is almost totally deaf and can now hear nothing via FaceTime, Skype and other applications even with the output volume controls on her Macbook set to maximum levels. This applies regardless of whether she listens via the inbuilt speaker(s) or uses ear/headphones.

What I have learned is the audio output to headphones is controlled by the phone. That is, while headphones may provide independent volume control, the maximum and minimum volumes are set by the phone. I know of no third-party apps that will boost the volume higher than that set by the phone.

If it is not enough, you'll want to look into a headphone amp to boost the volume further rather than getting an actual headphone with amp included. I find headphone + amp works better but that's just me.

I I am nearly deaf and I need volume booster there are some apps which can boost the volume of files but I can't find any that will boost the volume that's coming directly from Pandora is there anyway that anyone else that I can bring the volume of Pandora for my iPhone without this I probably won't be able to keep my subscription any advice would be helpful

We don't alter music equalization on Pandora from how it appears on the original releases, unlike terrestrial radio, which compresses the entire broadcast. As a result, some songs sound louder (or lower) than others. However, we do use the Replay Gain technique that encodes a fixed volume adjustment into the mp3/mp4 header so that the actual player (web browser, phone or device) can adjust volume just as the track begins playing. If there are vast differences, it could also be due to different instrumentation or arrangements causing different apparent levels of volume where the actual decibel levels are the same. 2351a5e196
