Following up on what @sean.cotter explained, it depends on the length of the recording that determines how long the recording will be completed.

Also, you can subscribe to our recording completed webhook[1], to automatically notify your system when your recording is completed.

The same for me. 1h webinar - the recording is still processing after 30h. I contacted the support but they closed my ticket. I also tried to register other 5 min video and the recording completed. I think depends on the duration

I am in need of some help. So interesting situation. I joined our board meeting Zoom call through my ZOOM Chromebook extension using the meeting ID and pass code provided by my boss. I did not realize I was not signed in to my account but essentially joined the call as a guest with my name. My boss then made me the host. I recorded the entire zoom meeting by hitting the record meeting button. It did not give me the option to record to computer or record to zoom cloud. All that happened when I hit record was the voice saying "System now recording" or whatever it says. So meeting happens, is coming to a close, and my boss wants to discuss some executive actions with other executives. So I stop the recording, transfer host privileges back to her, then leave the Zoom call. As soon as I did that I realized I did not get any notification about the recording being saved or downloaded and sent anywhere. WHERE COULD THIS RECORDING BE! I really need this recording to write the minutes for the meeting. Is it lost? Can it potentially be recovered? Any help at all would be great, thank you!!!

Hi @BLeo12

Chromebooks can only record to the cloud, not locally. Since you were not the host of the meeting, just given the host role, you could start a cloud recording, but that cloud recording would not be saved to your profile. It would be saved to the user who is the original host of the meeting. Check with them to see if they have the cloud recording on their Recordings page.

As I said, Chromebook users can only record to the cloud, so if they have any cloud recording, they will be found on the Recordings page of the web portal. From there, they should be able to download the recordings, unless an admin on the account has prevented them from downloading their recordings.

Hi @tommy the link I posted already mentioned the download token. #3 is what we use, but as demonstrated by Webhook events stopped suddenly and `recording.*` events not being sent, the zoom developer platform sometimes stops sending for large periods of time, which is still not communicated on status.zoom.us.

Please help, I am so frustrated. I need this to look over a very important work meeting. I was the host and I know it is saved on my computer because I somehow found it last week but then closed it because I didn't have the time to rewatch it at the time. Now no matter where I look I can't find it. I have logged into my zoom desktop app and nothing is listed under recordings. I have also used the search function on my computer and searched my hard drive for "zoom" as that's how I believe I found it before, yet after checking out every folder I still don't see it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've spent over an hour searching and am losing my mind!

In addition to the info you received from @Renee_Carney ...yes, you should be able to do this...just not through your school's Zoom integration inside of Canvas. You will need to go out to the Zoom website ( ) and log in with your Zoom username/password. Once you are signed in, you'll see a bunch of menu options on the left side of your screen. Click "Recordings". You'll see two tabs: "Cloud Recordings" and "Local Recordings". Find and click on the name of the recording that you want to change (probably listed under "Cloud Recordings"). On the next screen, you'll see a pencil icon to the right of the name of the recording. Click on the pencil icon to re-name and "Save" your new title.

For most creators, the purpose of recording a Zoom meeting is to share it with other people at some point. For local recordings, you can upload the files to other services, like Dropbox, Google Drive, Youtube, social media platforms, or your website. You can even use it to create a video podcast.

You can enable the Audio transcript option in the settings of your personal Zoom account. Once enabled, transcripts are automatically generated for new cloud recordings of meetings you scheduled.

Cloud recordings are automatically transferred to Cornell's Video on Demand service. You will be able to access your meeting recordings there; you will not be able to access them through Zoom's web portal. Cloud recordings are not retained indefinitely and are auto-deleted after 120 days. The VOD is the long-term repository for Zoom cloud recordings (beyond 120 days).

The meeting host can record their own meetings. The vendor's documentation on Allowing a Participant to Record covers this topic. The vendor's page refers to local recording, but the same steps work for cloud recording.

Once the recording has been stopped, Zoom will process the recording, then transfer it to Cornell's Video on Demand service. You'll get a message from Zoom telling you that your recording has been transferred, but it might not be available in Cornell's Video on Demand service immediately.

I used to be able to upload recordings of zoom meetings in a confluence page and show them as links. I had a number of recordings posted as links so that when you clicked on them, the video would immediate load and you could watch the recording.

I have looked at this with my IT department and they think it's a bug in confluence. I think this started to become an issue in early March. I'm wondering if there is 1) any way to retrieve my old content that used to be linked to these pages and 2) how can I post zoom recordings going forward.

I've received a web link to a Zoom recording. At the link, an in-page player opens, and the video starts playing. I can see that the page is issuing an HTTP GET request for an MP4 file with a bunch of parameters; but - I can't just retrieve that MP4, I get a "missing key", or a "Forbidden" if I also add the parameters.

When there is a recording of Zoom meetings, the recording is saved in a local file at the machine of the host that recorded the video. You probably received a link that does not allow you to download or open the video from outside your company (or without authentication). My company does that to prevent confidential information leakage, since nobody from outside should be allowed to see/know private information. Maybe that is the case for you...

A: Yes, starting in October 2023, recordings set to have an Alternative Host in Zoom are also copied to the My Media of those set as Alternative Host(s); a Zoom Alternative Host is designated as a Kaltura Collaborator and has both Co-Editor and Co-Publisher status on the video copied from Zoom. Please see Zoom/Kaltura changes: Zoom Alternative Hosts automatically added as Collaborators in Kaltura

If video and audio recordings of class lectures are created, those recordings will be part of the classroom activity. The video and audio recording is used for educational use/purposes and may be made available to all students presently enrolled in the course.

Zoom allows you to store recordings on your computer or in the cloud. Zoom is not intended for long-term or permanent storage. Review your recordings frequently and delete or move them to another location.

I think HubSpot does not have a built-in feature to associate external Zoom recordings with contacts. However, you can create a custom property in HubSpot to store the file path for each recording and then manually associate the recording with the correct contact. Here's how: e24fc04721
