I was looking to sell stuff on Ebay, but with a plethora of options for shippings labels and such, I wasnt sure what route to take.

First off should I print the labels off from Ebay's website, or should I print them from another place such as USPS's website?

Also which company should I ship my items with? USPS, FedEx, or UPS?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Actually, in some cases, Priority can be much more than Parcel. I have had many packages going to the West Coast (I am in Va) where Priority was ~$40 and parcel was ~$20-25. For a buyer, thats a big difference when they are shopping by total price. And TBH, it doesnt seem to make much difference in delivery time from what I have seen.

If the buyer wants to get it faster I do allow them to pay for upgrading to priority, but it ranges from $6 to $15 depending in the item and where they are, so other than the holidays most would rather wait a few days longer and pay less.

I use Ebay label which is based on USPS. It provides discounts. USPS is also near from my home. USPS is generally cheaper than UPS. I would use Ebay label, than other carriers, although there can be variance.

To request a return, select the item you want to send back from your recent purchases above, or use the button below. You can also start a return request from your Purchases in My eBay.

If the returned item is opened, used, damaged, missing parts, or is damaged during return shipping because it wasn't packaged correctly, some sellers might deduct from your refund to cover the loss in the item's value. Learn more about our Condition of returns policy.

I bought a item from a ebay seller. Today I got a text from Walmart saying my order was delivered. There it was in a Walmart box with a Walmart label with my name. This is not connected to my real Walmart account that i have. But how can someone do this? They sell a item on ebay and place a order with Walmart in the buyers name?? Gave my phone number and address to order that item. Should sellers like this be reported and if so how do I do it.

"The seller used my payment to make a purchase of the item I ordered (item number) from another site (name it) and had it sent to me directly from them. This was not Drop Shipping but a possible triangulation scam. If contacted through ebay messages, I can reply to it and post a scan or photo of the receipt that came with the item".

There's nothing ebay can do for the OP or to the seller at this point. With this type of scam it takes time to surface. Until the bank is notified of the fraud from the card account holder and the card gets blocked, it continues. The buyer received the item as described so they usually leave positive feedback. And lastly, since the card was never used directly on ebay, they don't get notified, the sellers account stays in good standing, and the seller just uses a different stolen card at the other sites.

If the OP'S address eventually gets blacklisted at Walmart because of the fraud. Then the OP can notify ebay with proof. Ebay can't take any action on an assumption. When I was a victim of this scam , it took ebay a very long time before the sellers account was NARU. It took me over a year to clear up my blacklisted accounts at many sites.

What the seller did is called "drop shipping." You place your order with the eBay seller and then the eBay seller places the order with a 3rd party supplier (Walmart). The 3rd party supplier then sends the item directly to you. The seller did nothing wrong. It just saves the seller from having to store a lot of inventory.

This happened to me, but after the items were delivered, the seller claimed they were not and got a refund. Since then I have not been able to use my WalMart+ account. I still have the text messages from Walmart, but when I contacted eBay, they told me I needed a police report for them to do anything. I still received the product, but the seller scammed Wal Mart out of product and money. Trying to get my WalMart account back open so I can use it. Extremely frustrating.

Was the item as described? If so all good I guess, I have seen some discussion here that some sellers are dropshipping items from for example Walmart. I don't know if there's profit to be made or what sense does it make, I don't live in US so I don't knos exactly how Walmart works, except that gooling reveals that they apparently offer shipping for their items.

You may have bought from a scammer using stolen credit cards. Eventually when the card gets reported stolen and walmart gets notified your address will be blacklisted for deliveries in the future. It happened to me many times from different retailers due to purchases I made on ebay.

This happened to me too more than 10 years ago and that was how I discovered wallmart.com. Now you know the shortcut to get that item cheaper in the future. Alot of sellers do that here. Eventually, they will get caught. Is your item exactly what you wanted? I hope so. I would not give any feedback to that buyer. Some sellers also drop ship from Amazon. I am sure that there are many other sites too.

@fab_finds4u, suggestion to report the seller is a good idea as well. They have violated ebay's drop shipping policies, by buying an item from another site after you paid for the item. To report the seller use the link below.

The payment on my bank or other account shows (eBay, PayPal *eBay, Google Pay ... etc.) It was delivered from Walmart. If there is a Walmart receipt with a different date than the day you paid on, state that. If it came with a Walmart prepaid return label mention that as well. The seller has violated eBay's drop shipping policy.

I happened to purchase 3 orders of Corelle dishes from three different sellers recently. The Item Location of all 3 listings was somewhere in the US ... while 2 of the sellers lived in different foreign countries.

TWO of the orders were delivered from Walmart ... and NOT from the city on the listing. I checked out more listings for Corelle dishes ... and discovered that a LOT of the sellers lived abroad, yet listed the Item Location as a US city. I suspect ALL those items would be coming from Walmart as well. BTW, shipping is usually 'free'.

I have been trying to get a 1099 from ebay since the first of 2022. But its nowhere to be found. It just says no 1099 is available on ebay and I havent received anything in my email or by a carrier. I can make a report for 2021 but when you download the information it just opens a box and when you click open it disappears then the same box opens again. I've made a lot of reports in the past and never had a issue ike this. I have everything for my business taxes done except for having the 1099k I need to file my taxes. Am I the only one left out to dry here or is other people having the same issue. I hope I get it soon or my state taxes will be past due by the time I can file my federal. After i filed in 2021 for 2020 ebay had taken all of the state taxes out and remitted them to the state. But I ended up paying in over $200 in state taxes im guessing ebay forgot to remit. If that happens again ebay will need to explain why they took out the state tax but didn't pay it all. My tax professional said i shouldn't owe anything but for some reason the irs had another opinion about the matter. But no point in trying to recover the money because if the irs makes a mistake says you owe money you don't and you prove you were right. They will still hold you accountable for the fees you owe because of their mistake. If they say you owe 3 dollars and you prove you don't then they will still charge you a 67$ penalty fee for them not knowing you didn't owe it on time. But anyway I just want my 1099k so I can start being taken advantage of and screwed around by the irs. Lets go brandon!!!!

eBay only collects and remits sales taxes. They do not have anything to do with your State income tax. Your 1099 would have been for the total amount collected an you would have to deducted the sales tax from the total shown on the 1099.

Your 1099k from eBay does not include any sales tax in the sales amounts, the way paypal included it in the ones they issued. The state tax that eBay collected was not state income tax - it was sales tax. eBay did not forget to remit anything.

The post-holiday season is a great time to buy used electronics. Everyone has pulled the wrapping off the latest model and they're ready to get rid of the older one. Whether you want to save things from the landfill or just want to score a deal, buying used is a great alternative.

Not every eBay sale is subject to income tax, but most are. If you use the site to get rid of household articles you've used in the past, you may qualify for "occasional garage or yard sale" treatment. According to the IRS, if your online auction sales are the Internet equivalent of an occasional garage or yard sale, you generally do not have to report income from those sales.

If you sell and buy articles on eBay in order to earn money, the IRS will likely classify your sales activities as a business. This means you will have to report net income from eBay sales. Report your total gross income on Schedule C, then reduce it to net income by subtracting the amounts you spent for allowable business-related expenses. ff782bc1db
