So I can hear the Viber ringtone but the screen is off. I unlock the phone still no notification and I can hear the ringtone. I have to physically go into Viber and into the main screen of the chats and up there will be a green notification that there is an incoming call.

viber for desktop is a great add-on for viber because it allows faster messaging (typing on a real keyboard) and it can send/receive independently from your phone. however, i find that on a PC, the notification sounds for incoming messages and calls are more than annoying.

alternatively, navigate to the following directory manually in explorer:

Ocationally I get a Viber call where I only hear the ringtone. But nothing on display. No name, notification....the screen is blank, just the ringtone. I CANT ANSWER THE CALL OR EVEN DECLINE IT. No call screen!

I get in to the viber app it just acts as if nothing new is happening. I can enter chats, settings while there is someone obviously calling me.

After 2 minutes I will simply get missed call in the call log.

So for sending notifications i use viber bot which works fine for messages. The problem is that sometimes i want to send an alert (ringtone/music) that last at least 30 seconds since I am sleeping at that time and might not hear simple notification. I know i could change ringtone for viber, but i would like to use it for different purposes with normal notifications. What would work is to set custom ringtone only for certain viber bot but from my understanding this doesn't work. Making a voice call would work but from my understanding this is not possible from command line at least not for free.

I found googles function "locate my phone" that start a ringtone but i didnt find if i can do it outside of web browser. So basically i am searching for a way how i can send command from my linux server that would start ringing on my phone and other people's phone that give me permission.Any idea ?

So I fuxed the general notification low volume by playing it and holding volume up but I can't fix viber, the **bleep** volume for incoming message is waaaaaay too low I can't ever hear it. I tried setting it to system ringtone and sound but it still is a lot quiter than it should be. ff782bc1db
