No, it doesn't seem to be qt5-quick1 related since the same happens whether I have qt5-quick1 installed or not. On my laptop, viber6 works whether qt5-quick1 is installed or not. I'm inclined to believe that something is botched with my Qt5 installation because of

by copying /usr/lib64/qt/plugins/xcbglintegrations/* to /opt/viber/plugins/xcbglintegrations/* (with backing up original files)

Ok I've solved my problem. It seems that my LD_LIBRARY_PATH contains /usr/lib which causes mixed library issues since Viber ships with Qt 5.5.1 and we have Qt 5.6.0 on our systems. Therefore, just unsetting LD_LIBRARY_PATH before running viber does the trick. For a more elegant solution, modify /usr/bin/viber as follows:

I have inserted the extra unset line to /usr/bin/viber file but no change in this message. Should there be a libcurl.so.3 file in the viber's directory at /opt/viber? Any idea?

I was using Viber in both PC (window 7) and Mobile phone. application on my phone and pc has been reinstalled. i cannot retrieve the message history on the viber application for pc. Good thing i have backup copy of the viber messages in my pc viber.db ... I need to retrieve message history for future needs (date , time, mobile no, messages).Hope some one can help. really desperate

I accidentally uninstalled viber but I reinstalled it again. Now I cannot setup the old account on the same device. The viber version used by me is 5.3-the latest version. Every time I enter my phone number error message pops up. I was tninking of activating my viber account on another device and deactivate my account . And then using the same number and device I wish to setup the viber account once again. Will that help???

There is a new issue reported on Viber 4.1.1 version app that it is being identified as unknown-udp. Palo alto team is working on it. Packet captures of application traffic can be taken and shared to palo alto team through a case to better identify the app traffic as it was earlier before.
