This morning participants of my course and me figured out that the Fiji updater is not working. See error message attached. We are all connected to the internet (since in a zoom meeting). I also cannot find out any way around the issue. I have not found an info that the update service or server is down due to the wiki update last week, just that on Wednesday there will be maintainance. But I might have missed any announcement related to this.

My realtor sent me an invite to the updater app, and I cannot find any good reviews of it outside of the BBB site (where it gets slaughtered at less than 2 stars), and google searches only bring up clearly advertised or sponsored reviews. I don't trust any of the reviews, and giving them access to damn near everything doesn't pass the "smell test" to me.

I currently utilize a scheduled task to run ccleaner and have a custom ccleaner.ini built. What I cannot figure out is how to disable the driver updater feature in the ccleaner.ini file. Does anyone have any information regarding this? I do not want the driver updater to run at all, it continues to update my laptop display drivers on two of my gaming machines and messes up the nvidia drivers that auto switch my display from intel to nvidia. I have tried to open the program and unselect drivers but it doesn't seem to hold, so I am just looking to disable this feature all together and be done with this headache.

+1 to checking the USB cable. This was driving me crazy and while my device was working through the PC, the updater and my recording software wouldn't recognize that it was plugged in, kept getting device not found. I moved the usb cable to a different input on my PC and bam, it worked again. Any PC over 3-4 years old will see USB ports randomly start failing, it's the least durable part in most PC's.

I have this same problem. I'm a user of Helix Stomp and Helix Rack. I tried to update their firmware from 2.82 to 2.9. Stomp went easy. HX Edit sees him and works with him. When I tried to update the XH Rack with the same USB cables, the editor and updater cannot see my Helix Rack. I tried all USB inputs. Always see "No device conected" in the software, or "Select device to update" in the Updater but without displaying the option to select any device.

My Windows machine reported "warning" entries (yellow triangle with an exclamation mark) for the Helix in Windows Device Manager (devmgmt.msc) and Line6 updater did not see my HX Stomp until I installed the drivers with the HX Edit package - which incidentally also contains the updater.

I just got my Helix Floor model, the updater crashed my computer and now it's stuck in the Boot Failure, Enter Update Mode.. The Line 6 updater is showing no devices, everything is disconnected from my usbs, I have all apps closed and everything running at a minimum, and I can't do anything to get this updater to work or get my Helix running. I haven't even used it yet.

Ok, first of all, if one of the installer/updater products out on the market fits your need, you should probably use those. That being said, I've had the pleasure of building a system like this myself not long ago.Yes, our installer/updater included two parts on the client side so that:

Finally, the installer/updater should try and be agnostic about the application it installs/updates, so that, when that application changes, the installer/updater system is impacted the least possible amount.

It loads an XML document from a URL that contains the "latest version" information, as well as a second URL where the actual new version is located. The updater logic verifies the signature on the XML doc, but you may not care about that. The updater then compares the current version against the latest version, and can tell the application if an update is available. The updater also handles the replace-in-place problem.

In this model, there are three "lifecycle stages" of an app during an update. In the normal course, the app checks for updates, and then runs as normal. At some point the user may confirm that they want to install the available update, and the Updater downloads the app to a temporary location, then starts a process using that newly downloaded exe. The updater logic then exits the first process. The second process, based on the command-line-arguments given to it by the first process, realizes that it is a newly downloaded copy and needs to replicate itself. It copies itself to the original location (specified on the command line), starts that exe, and exits. The third process starts as normal, sees that there has been an update, and deletes the temp exe copy. It then runs as normal, including checking for updates. It will find that there are no updates, and will then just run as normal. That covers the operation of the update-in-place logic.

Ten years ago I wrote an auto updater (not in .NET), but the gist of it was that the application had a version id that was checked on startup. In this case the app queried a database table that had the current version and if the running version was less than the current version, the user was prompted to download the latest version. The same thing could be accomplished by checking a URL.

In the course of one of two successful Google Summer of Code projects, the updater was rewritten from scratch (but in a backwards-compatible manner) by Yap Chin Kiet under the mentorship of Mark Longair and Johannes Schindelin in 2009.

Themify Updater plugin works in WordPress multisite as well. To use updater on multisite, please activate Themify Updater plugin in the main site (do not network activate it) and enter a valid Themify username and license key in the main site. You don't need to activate Themify Updater in the network or in each individual micro-site. To update the Themify themes and plugins in multisite, go to Network Admin > Dashboard > Updates.

@cyr0nk0r I rebaked the Agent using HTTP only and got rid of the certificate. First things first: The updater is still showing me the PEM of my certificate and asking me to trust it during registration, is this correct?

While it did not resolve the issue, the error in cmk-update-agent.log changed to:

I keep getting loads of random updater icons appearing on my desktop, (see picture) if i don't do anything it just keeps going and fills the screen, all i can do is delete them but then next time they appear again. Does anyone know how to stop them? I've tried safe boot as that would a suggestion when i googled it but that didn't work.

The Kaspersky software updater should only be installed if you opt a computer to be part of the Applications feature. ( in your Central console, under application you need to set a computer to be either Automatically update or Manually update) if neither of those are checked the program does not get installed.

We use a different application for 3rd party software so I actually had "Application Updates Disabled" set on every computer on my network since LMI's application update inception. When this went down, my Nessus scans revealed that LMI had installed the Kaspersky updater on every machine on my network, servers included. It was flagged as a Critical vulnerability on my network since it installs with improper permissions set on its .dlls

To utilize our Account Updater service, send us a CSV file containing the cards you want us to check for updates. You will include the TokenEx token, which will be swapped out with the PAN to send to the card brands. After the update, TokenEx will send you a file in the same format as the original with the new tokens for the refreshed cards.

If you would like more information, feel free to contact us or review our account updater documentation.

No, using the TokenEx account updater does not introduce additional PCI scope because you never handle the credit card PAN. In the file you send TokenEx, you will include the TokenEx token, not the PAN. We will swap out the token with the actual PAN and send it to the card brands. When we send the file back to you, it will include any information about card updates (e.g., updated expiration date, the status of cards) along with the TokenEx tokens. This ensures that you never see sensitive payment details and thus are kept out of PCI scope.

Where's the Dongle updater gone to? Just looked and it's not showing up in Avid Link or Application Manager. Using my perpetual with the Dongle and it needs updating. Of course it's about to expire and I'm thinking of crossgrading to the Ultimate Subscription to save headaches. Unfortuately, sort of, I already have Phrse Find and Symphony options. Of course neither are working right now because there's some weird activation issue at the Avid end.

The built-in updater automates many of the steps of upgrading a Nextcloudinstallation. It is useful for installations that do not have root access, such as shared hosting, for installations with a smaller number of usersand data, and it automates updatingmanual installations.

The updater itself only replaces the existing files with the ones from theversion it updates to. The migration steps needs to be executed afterwards. The command line mode provides a way to do this right after the code wassuccessfully replaced.

Create backup: creates a backup of the existing code base in/updater-INSTANCEID/backups/nextcloud-CURRENTVERSION/ inside of thedata directory (this does not contain the /data directory nor thedatabase).

Downloading: downloads the code in the version it should update to. Thisis also shown in the web UI before the update is started. This archive isdownloaded to /updater-INSTANCEID/downloads/. 17dc91bb1f
