A male rabbit is called a buck; a female is called a doe. An older term for an adult rabbit used until the 18th century is coney (derived ultimately from the Latin cuniculus), while rabbit once referred only to the young animals.[2] Another term for a young rabbit is bunny, though this term is often applied informally (particularly by children) to rabbits generally, especially domestic ones. More recently, the term kit or kitten has been used to refer to a young rabbit.

I had a bunch of leftover baseboards and scrap wood in my garage. I needed to use it up as soon as possible because my husband was itching to throw it away. So luckily I was able to use some of it on this project. With Easter just around the corner, I wanted to make a cute bunny to sit on my porch.

If you check out the tutorial for the Reclaimed Wood Eggs, you will notice that I cut out the reclaimed wood and backing board together. With the bunny, I cut the reclaimed wood first and then cut out the backing board and then assembled it. You can do it either way. For me, I prefer the way I made the bunny. I feel like I have more control over the shape of the bunny by cutting each board seperately. It is a matter of personal preference.

2. Arrange the reclaimed wood in the pattern you desire. Trace the bunny onto the reclaimed wood. Trace the bunny feet onto a heavier piece of wood. Cut the bunny and feet traced onto the boards with the jig saw. Line the boards up after each cut to make sure that you are cutting it right. Sand out all of the rough edges and paint.

3. Line the boards up on top of the backing board and trace the bunny. Cut the bunny out on the backing board with the jig saw. Make sure that the reclaimed wood bunny and the backing board bunny line up right.

4. Glue the reclaimed wood bunny onto the backing board bunny. Allow the glue to dry completely. If you want to make sure that it is completely secure, you can sink a few screws into the back.

5. Smooth the edges with sandpaper. Place the back of the feet 2 1/2 inches from the back of the body. This will allow your bunny enough stability to stand. Sink a few screws into the bottom to secure the feet in place.

A very special bunny is making a stop at the Diamond Bar Center to take part in this spring-themed event recommended for families with children ages 2 to 8. The fun starts with breakfast and continues with seasonal crafts, games, interactive dancing, and a photo with the bunny.

In my opinion, there is no stuffed animal more inviting than a bunny. And with Easter fast approaching, now is the perfect time to create one. This little guy is made from cozy 100% felted wool, making him oh, so huggable. Plus, he would look right at home in an Easter basket!

This Soft Woolen Bunny is a totally approachable project, even for your first stuffed animal. The wool is lovely to sew and its forgiving nature hides all those little mistakes. I hope you enjoy watching your bunny come to life as much as I did!

Is it possible you could explain how to form the head. I am confused as to how to form the head top piece in the way you have shown in the photo with the blue pins, and yellow pins indicating the ear marks.

If it is possible a video series demonstrating it would be invaluable. The bunny is for my niece who lost hers and she wanted me to re-create her teddy,

Hi Ashley, thank you for such a great tutorial, I had a lot of fun creating my own bunny bags and they were an absolute hit with my nieces! I have referenced your tutorial in one of my blog posts on , cheers!

My mother was never much of a crafter (and when I say much I mean zero crafting skills). Yet somehow she managed to make magical Easter baskets. Filled with jelly beans and chocolates and a giant chocolate Easter bunny. And wrapped magnificently with colorful cellophane.

Great idea for giving Easter gifts. I continued giving my son a basket until he married and then his lovely wife got one too. Now that I have grandkids, they get a basket and mom and dad just get a bag of treats. Next time I can give them treats in a bunny bag!

6. Using a pair of clean scissors, cut your marshmallows in diagonally in half. Clean the scissors after each cut so you get a neat edge for the bunny ears. Try dampening the blades if things are a bit messy. e24fc04721
