A common answer I see on StackOverflow is to use a DragGesture and set minimumDistance to 0. This does trigger the button when the finger touches the button. However, when the finger is pressed down, if I move my finger even just a little bit, the button would get triggered again, which not something that I want. I want the button to fire only when the finger first touches the button, but not when the finger drags the button.

A touchdown (abbreviated as TD[1]) is a scoring play in gridiron football. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone. In American football, a touchdown is worth six points and is followed by an extra point or two-point conversion attempt.

To score a touchdown, one team must take the football into the opposite end zone. In all gridiron codes, the touchdown is scored the instant the ball touches or "breaks" the plane of the front of the goal line (that is, if any part of the ball is in the space on, above, or across the goal line) while in the possession of a player whose team is trying to score in that end zone. This particular requirement of the touchdown differs from other sports in which points are scored by moving a ball or equivalent object into a goal where the whole of the relevant object must cross the whole of the goal line for a score to be awarded. The play is dead and the touchdown scored the moment the ball touches plane in possession of a player, or the moment the ball comes into possession of an offensive player in the end zone (having established possession by controlling the ball and having one or both feet depending on the rules of the league or another part of the body, excluding the hands, touch the ground). The slightest part of the ball touching or being directly over the goal line is sufficient for a touchdown to score. However, only the ball counts, not a player's helmet, foot, or any other part of the body. Touching one of the pylons at either end of the goal line with the ball constitutes "breaking the plane" as well.

Touchdowns are usually scored by the offense by running or passing the ball. The former is called a rushing touchdown, and in the latter, the quarterback throws a touchdown pass or passing touchdown to the receiver, who either catches the ball in the field of play and advances it into the end zone, or catches it while already being within the boundaries of the end zone; the result is a touchdown reception or touchdown catch. However, the defense can also score a touchdown if they have recovered a fumble or made an interception and return it to the opposing end zone. Special teams can score a touchdown on a kickoff or punt return, or on a return after a missed or blocked field goal attempt or blocked punt. In short, any play in which a player legally carries any part of the ball over or across the opponent's goal line scores a touchdown, as is any play in which a player legally gains possession of the ball while it is on or across his opponent's goal line and both the player and ball are legally in-bounds - beyond this, the manner in which he gained possession is inconsequential. In the NFL, a touchdown may be awarded by the referee as a penalty for a "palpably unfair act", such as a player coming off the bench during a play and tackling the runner, who would otherwise have scored.[2]

A touchdown is worth six points. The scoring team is also awarded the opportunity for an extra point or a two-point conversion.[3] Afterwards, the team that scored the touchdown kicks off to the opposing team, if there is any time left in the half. In most codes, a conversion is not attempted if the touchdown ended the game and the conversion cannot affect the outcome.

Unlike a try scored in rugby, and contrary to the event's name, the ball does not need to touch the ground when the player and the ball are inside the end zone. The term touchdown is a holdover from gridiron's early days when the ball was required to be touched to the ground as in rugby, as rugby and gridiron were still extremely similar sports at this point. This rule was changed to the modern-day iteration in 1889.

The ability to score a touchdown on the point-after attempt (two-point conversion) was added to NCAA football in 1958 and also used in the American Football League during its ten-year run from 1960 to 1969. It was subsequently adopted by high school football in 1969, the CFL in 1975 and the NFL in 1994.[5][6] The short-lived World Football League, a professional American football league that operated in 1974 and 1975, gave touchdowns a seven-point value.

Hi,

I have done a simple test application in kivy. It window contains a Button. I have binded a function to the on_press event. Running this, everything is fine and the function will be executed on each Button Click. Adding the mouse down or up event and then trying to click the button, the on_press function of the button will not be executed. It seems like the Mouse events override the Button events. Any recommendations on that?

Landing on the Moon is tricky. Since a spacecraft can go as fast as 18,000 miles per hour (29,000 km per hour) on its way to the Moon, it needs to slow down in order to land gently. And if there are astronauts onboard, the lander also needs to keep them safe.

Spacecraft on their way to Mars may be traveling as fast as 13,000 miles per hour (21,000 km per hour) when they reach the Red Planet and need to slow down to land safely on the surface. Future missions to Mars will also need to safely land astronauts on the surface.

Charles is often referred to as a pop culture historian because of the breadth of his work and the way it touches his collectors and captures the best parts of their contemporary lives. His legacy will mark him as part of the next generation of famous pop art artists as he follows the paths originally forged by pop art pioneers like Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Red Grooms.

I have been using touch down in my phone for my official email acccount for almost a year now, but it stopped working with office365 now, even though i changed the server name to outlook.office365.com

(I came on this forum today trying to learn how to add a second account [office 365] to Touchdown. Since it looks like multiple accounts in Touchdown will not be polling at the same time then I will prob stick with Outlook for Android for my second account. Therefore I will not be personally trying my suggestion below, but I think it may work for you.)

I think you need to find a more specific server instead of outlook.office365.com. The method below worked for me in Office 2013 on a PC, so hopefully you can use similar settings for Touchdown. Yesterday I was trying to get Office365 with a custom domain to work on Office 2013 on the PC. I found the link below which shows how to pull a more specific server name using Microsoft's Remote Connectivity Tool. (You will find a server name for yourself similar to this format: 7d30b5ec-4218-4f7b-a266-55f45f45960a@o365info.com). These instructions for Office 2013 also show the need to change to Anonymous Authentication, and to use Outlook Anywhere settings to connect to Exchange using HTTP... so I am not sure how this can be done inTouchdown. But hopefully if you can find your specific server name then you will be able to figure it out.

This worked for me in Office 2013 on a PC for Office 365 with a custom domain name where autodiscover would not work. I also had to use Anonymous authentication and Outlook Anywhere settings to connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP... so I am not sure how those steps can be done in Touchdown. But I do think finding your specific server (similar to the format "7d30b5ec-4218-4f7b-a266-55f45f45960a@o365info.com") may be helpful.

I came on this forum to find out how to add a second account (Office 365) to Touchdown, but from the other thread it looks like multiple accounts cannot be polling at the same time, so I will use Outlook for Android for my second account. Therefore I will not personally be trying these steps in Touchdown, but hopefully I have pointed you in a useful direction.

During the storm, the NWS and the NBC 5 Storm Team confirmed some tornado touchdowns, including a "large and extremely dangerous" tornado in southern Cook County moving towards Chicago. Approximately 30 minutes later, the NWS reported a touchdown near O'Hare International Airport, where more than 300 flights were canceled.

"Those boundaries are the leading edge of cool surface-level winds that result from the downdrafts of thunderstorms, like the ones that formed early in the afternoon on Wednesday in the Chicago area," NBC 5 Meteorologist Brant Miller said. "Those cool winds race towards the ground, and can spread out far beyond where they originated from."

What is the optimal speed of contact on dry runway? I know it depends of weight and AoA + descent rate is more important, but are there any recommended values? Recently I blew the front tire at about 140kts touchdown speed with right AoA. The plane was loaded with centerline tank, and two CBU-99's, two Sparrows and Sidewinder. Fuel about 1000. Suprisingly, without any panic on NWS, it rolled down the runway bumpy but nicely, as NATOPS book describes. Taxi prohibited :) It was my first mishap in this module. Right now I have equal number of takeoffs and landings; the tire xplosion is a reason to investigate speeds :)

The above 300 too 400fpm is what I had been using for landing on runways. I was curious what I land on the boat with, but never really noticed because my eyes are always ball and lineup. I stole a few glances and after boltering a few times because I took my eyes off the ball, I finally trapped a few while looking at my fpm at touchdown. Landing on the carrier, I am typically between 500 to 600fpm on proper glideslope and on speed AOA (of course). 2351a5e196
