Close out 2023 with a torchlight parade and fireworks on Fanny Hill. Skiers and snowboarders ages 8 and up are invited to join in the fun making wide turns down the mountain with red flares that illuminate the night sky and snow with a festive glow.
Join the Vail Ski and Snowboard School for the annual nighttime torchlight ski-down parade at Golden Peak. Watch one of the most spectacular sights on the mountain as the instructors ski in formation down Golden Peak with flares! The fireworks show will follow the torchlight parade.

The fact that we have a limited number of LTCs means that they will be escorts several times. This might look like we are honoring the same campers, but this is not the case. In fact, we had a parent ask why we were recognizing the same girls the day after a 6th summer camper made torchlight for the first time. This parent had seen the LTC and thought she was also a Torchlighter. I hope this helps clarify.
The Torchlight Parade will wind down from the Sunshine lift just after 7:00 pm. Best viewing is from the lodge deck. To participate in the Torchlight Parade, riders must be at least 18 years of age and an expert skier or boarder. The suggested donation to participate is $20. Spectators can come up and watch while listening to live local music. The kitchen and bar will be open and serving up some great food and beverages.
