"Don't Jump" by Tokio Hotel is an emotional plea to a loved one who is contemplating suicide. The lyrics describe the speaker's efforts to comfort the person and convince them not to jump off a roof. The first verse sets the scene, with the speaker on the roof with the person they are trying to help. The city and its cold air serve as a backdrop to the conversation.

The chorus is a refrain that repeats throughout the song, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. The speaker screams into the night, begging the person not to jump and reminding them that memories of their relationship together are worth holding onto.

The chorus repeats again, with the speaker emphasizing that the lights below are deceiving and not a guide to follow. The world is out of view, but the speaker implores the person not to jump. The final line is a powerful statement, with the speaker offering to jump for the person if their words are not enough.

In this song, Bill trys to persuade the person who wants to Jumpnot to, but in the end fails to. The last 2 lines of the songindicate that cos he has failed to stop you, he will jump for you'And If all that can't hold you back, then I'll jump for you'. Butin the videos, the German version, the guy (who is Bill) jumps, andthe English video, he doesn't, but at the end of each video, theyput the part when a tear falls in reverse, this shows that Bill hassucceeded.

Don't jump/spring nicht is song for tom. As u can see in the music video that someone has already jumped and bill would be next. Bill said in the end of the song "then i'll jump for you" what means that bill would also jump.

Don't jump is about the pitfall of despair which you can so easily become trapped in, so much so that the only solution seems to be death. Its about forgetting what you're living for, so each day you open your eyes you see only a dark vortex of misery. Eventually, you're void of all feeling but the pain which manifests deep inside. It's implied that there is an element of failure to achieve something ('each one a promise of everything you never found,')in life, whether it be love or friendship or anything else, which you think you might find/accomplish in death. The message is that you should always realise that there is somebody there who cares about your fate; somebody who would be willing to take the jump for you. *Sorry, just had to amend my post.

Sorry I didn't finish on the other one. I believe Bill is saying that instead of killing yourself find your problems in life and fix them before you kill yourself. I think it is a great song for those who have so many problems in their life they think the only other thing to do is kill themselves so they won't have to keep living this horrible life. I do also believe taht if you are on top of that building or however else you are trying to kill yourself, you are the only person taht can save yourself. When he says " The eyes of the city are counting all the tears falling down" the Bill on top of the building( in the music video ) is crying because of all the pain in life and he doesn't think to fix it. Then when he says " I scream into the night for you Don't make it true Don't jump The lights will not guide you through They're deceiving you Don't jump Don't let memories go Of me and you The world is down there out of view Please don't jump" he's saying don't jump because you have so many memories that you shouldn't let go and he doesn't want to see you commit suicide when you could fix the problems as an alternative. He says "Somewhere out there You lost yourself in your pain", Bill on the roof has so much pain that he lost himself in it and he has so much that it is killing him inside so he tries to kill himself. Then when he says "Just take my hand Give it a chance Don't jump" Bill on the ground wants you to trust him about getting through all this pain and finally when he says " I will jump for you" he's saying that he loves Bill on the roof so much that he will give his life to save Bill on the roof. I hop e this helped and I`m sorry it took so long to read but I had to break it down so it was understandable.

I think that this song is much deeper when you look at it through the video. All those people, the police, the bystanders everyone, just kind of sat there staring at the bill on top of the building. Nobody cared and no one came to help him. Except for trench-coat Bill. Do you think that the message for the music video could be that the only person you can count on to save you when it comes down to it is, actually, yourself? And maybe when he jumped, it was saying that at some point you realize that you're the only person who will come to your aid, and at that point you start to think that even when you come to save you, you've stopped caring also. Like maybe you don't trust Any one, including yourself, which means the only way to go is...well, down. And that's what the person Bill is talking to is going through. BUT in the song, Bill is pleading with the person, trying to get them to believe that no matter how difficult their life is, he knows about it, about every problem. And not only does he know about their problems, but he is there for them. He is trying to tell them that they are wrong, and that he cares for them. The final line "I'll jump for you" is saying that he can't be without this person, and he is willing to give up himself to give them a chance, and just to make them see that he loves them.

I think this song is a lot more than many people's interpretations of him saying that suicide is bad. It talks about the neglection that the narrator of the song has to go through (I say your name in silence, you don't want to hear it right now). Because of the neglection, the person the narrator is telling not to jump has been mislead to think something that may or may not be true but they do not believe the narrator's cries, telling them to listen (The lights will not guide you through, they're decieving you, don't jump.)The person the narrator is talking about has lost theirselves in the pain of what had happened to them they soon cannot feel anything (You open your eyes, but you can't remember what for, the snow falls quietly, you just can't feel it no more). The narrator fights to keep this person with them (Just take my hand, give it a chance, don't jump). In all attempts to make the person stay, aftee they refuse to listen to all of the reasoning, the narrator offers to take their pain away (and if all that can't hold you back, I'll jump for you).

Just my interpretation, I may be wrong though. 2351a5e196
