I'm currently using pop 20.04 LTS on my Dell XPS. Im really enjoying it, however the application/shell theme and cursor theme I applied using gnome tweaks have not applied to the login screen. I placed the assets in /usr/share/themes and usr/share/icons, respectively. Is there a config file I can edit or some command-line tool to fix this? Thanks

I have customized nearly everything I wanted and I think it looks perfect except for the lock screen. I looked everywhere in the settings and there is no option to download a theme or make changes to the look (except for the wallpaper). I downloaded an SDDM theme for the startup login screen and would like to make the lock screen match that if possible.

Im Using KDE for my desktop, i want to change my login screen, i've installing the themes from system settings and applied the changes. the theme is working on boot login, but somehow if i manage to lock screen it wont make a changes. im using login theme called "Sweet" .here's code from /etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf

In KDE Login Screen is not the same as Lock Screen. You installed and changed your Login Screen (SDDM theme). The lockscreen is part of KDE theming, nothing to do with sddm.

I changed the gnome shell theme of the login screen to Yaru-dark by following instructions in this answer. I did notice the dark calendar and system menu when I log on after reboot. However, when I lock my computer with Super+L, the lock screen still has white calendar and system menu, so I would like to make those dark as well.

All the answers I've seen so far are for Ubuntu 18.04, since they refer to /usr/share/gnome-shell/ubuntu.css which I do not have. I do have a /usr/share/gnome-shell/gnome-shell-theme.gresource, but changing that to my dark theme gresource still results in light shell on lock screen. Some other answers refer to a /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/gdm3.css, which I do not have either (the only css file I see in that directory is a gnome-classic.css).

I realize now that it is possible to change background only. The lock box itself seems unchangable. Same with GDM -- you can change the background but not the login box itself, so themes don't work. It doesn't really matter to me though.

1. Logout of your current session and return to the GDM

2. Switch to the tty command line prompt using Ctrl-Alt-F1

3. Login using your normal login/password

4. at the command line prompt type: export DISPLAY=:0.0

5. then type: sudo -u gdm gnome-control-center

6. Switch back to the gdm screen using Ctrl+ALT+F7

7. The gnome-control-center should be loaded. Use it to configure your GDM.

8. Click on the Appearances icon, in appearances you can change your GDM's font, theme and background image.

9. Close the gnome-control-center and login normally.

i was hoping somebody could help point me in the right direction of creating a custom login or lock screen for xfce4? i am currently running fedora23 xrce4 spin if that helps? i cant seem to find a nice simple to understand guide to get me started. any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Part of the problem, I think, is that Xfce desktop environment doesn't have a login manager or a screensaver. These are programs that are usually added by the distro to complete the user experience. Since no-one has replied to your thread here, you may be better suited asking this question over at the fedora forums (or the display manager and/or screensaver forums if they exist) on how to accomplish this.

This... actually... is what confuses me about resistance to LightDM.

I have never had LightDM glitch or fail me... Never had to reinstall it due to it suddenly being corrupted, as I had with GDM3 several times. Or an update mess it up, like GDM does.

It's configuration is easily set in just One File. It can use any system theme you want, any user theme... It can use a theme independent of the theme you normally use after logging in. Any background picture, any color, have a menubar or not have one... have a panel or not have one...

It can have any background image you want in the menubar - including it being opaque, translucent, transparent...

And most of the configuration can be set using a handy GUI with settings and buttons.

However gnome-screensaver only works on X. Not Wayland (which was what was tripping me up on a few things)

(Yeah, the shipped gnome-screensaver will segfault if you try and lock the screen under Wayland)

Update, xsecurelock is very nice and very basic (the way I like it), however GNOME is a pain in the rear-end when it comes to using not-gnome stuff.

So the system won't lock on wake from suspend and Super+L won't work unless I set a custom keybind.

Hilariously, calling dm-tool lock takes me back to the LightDM greeter (so I never needed gnome-screensaver in the first place), but GNOME doesn't use dm-tool lock it does it's own witchcraft to call either GDM3's lock or gnome-screensaver if the latter's daemon running.

Update 2

Wow... not using gnome-screensaver is a gigantic pain...

GNOME only wants to work with GNOME things. If I want to use light-locker, or xsecurelock or anything that isn't GDM or gnome-screensaver I have to sacrifice something. Like automatic locking on screen blank, or lock on resume from sleep.

Gnome devs, why can't I just tell gnome to use a specific command for locking things instead of having to try and hack something together?

How can I change the theme (or at least background picture) of a lock screen in Linux Mint 15 with KDE desktop? It is not consistent with log in screen and looks out of place. Nothing found in settings or online...

I managed to fix it by going into the folder with themes and replacing the default background image of default theme (keeping the name and dimensions). I understand there must be a better solution, but I'm not aware of any.

Lock Screen Themes is an Android app developed by stgo03216, falling under the Personalization category, which aims to protect your applications with fingerprints, drawing, and access code. After the recent oreo update on my s7 none of the animated or video themes are working properly. All of the theme works except for the lock screen part. The lock screen shows the picture but it's no longer animated. I thought it was maybe just the themes I had bought but when I tried trials of ones I don't own. Those were also having the same issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?

In fall 2020, Apple broke the internet (and Pinterest) when they provided users the ability to update their iOS app icons and home screens in a whole new way. Fast forward 2 years later, Apple is blessing us yet again with a fully customizable lock screen.

Give your iPhone a literal glow-up by customizing your lock screen widget, font, and colors to a vibrant neon theme. Use the built-in retro multiline font option and add dark, neon-themed background to complete the look!

The password.liquid file in the Templates directory is included in your theme by the {{ content_for_layout }} Liquid tag, which is found in the password page layout file. To make any changes to the password page layout file, click password.liquid in the Layout directory.

Hi! None of the comments are actually answering your question.

I was searching this myself, but it seems there isn't any way to turn off the animated lock screen of a theme.

You mentioned in the comments that the seller might not have the equivalent static wallpaper, but what I do for the lock screen is, if I long-press the screen, the clock and icons disappear, leaving only the animated wallpaper. Then I just screenshot that.

This should be immediately fixed/changed to be able to provide all colors for the background. The theme colors should be consistent all around the UI, this light background panel prevents us from doing that. I can already see customers leaving bad reviews for this.

Unfortunately, we do not know which issue is on the GTS side and which on the Android 11 Beta side. But we have to report everything and wait for new versions. The next beta version of Android 11 will also be coming soon.

And to fix minor issues on the GTS side - like incorrect theme preview (lock screen with white notification icons)

Do you remember the confusion with creating updates for Android 8, 9, 10? - it usually takes months - to fix most issues. But it is possible

Galaxy handsets come with a good selection of options and features to help you customize your lock screen, whether you want to set a new backdrop, make the clock a lot bigger, or add extra widgets for easier access to your apps.

Droid Lock is a Motorola Droid inspired lock screen theme with a custom slider and clock for your iPhone. It is available in Cydia in ModMyi repository and requires a jailbroken iPhone to work. Follow the step by step instructions below to transform your iPhone or iPod touch lock screen to the one like on Motorola DROID Milestone.

Extra input fields can be added to the sign up screen with the additionalSignUpFields option. Each option added in this manner will then be added to that user's user_metadata. To learn more, read Understand How Metadata Works in User Profiles. Every input must have a name and a placeholder, and an icon URL can also be provided. Also, the initial value can be provided with the prefill option, which can be a string with the value or a function that obtains it. Other options depend on the type of the field, which is defined via the type option and defaults to "text". 2351a5e196
