We have a join link and were thinking we could load the join link in an iframe but when that link loads it creates a pop-up that asks the user if they want to open the zoom client. Is there a way to override the pop-up or just make it open the client immediately?

Adding bookmarks, pinning, or favorites for reoccuring meetings is a definite must have feature. I have so many zoom calls a week that they roll off the recent list. Having the zoom client instead of the web client is supposed to be better.

Yes please!! In a virtual world, this would make lives so much easier!! I have 8 bookmarks on my browser to weekly recurring meetings where I am not the host, and this is only bound to increase. If I could just save all of these in my zoom app on my desktop it would be so much faster and smoother to switch between meetings!!

For the best experience in Zoom, you'll want to make sure you have the Zoom desktop client installed and kept up-to-date on your computer. This video will walk you through downloading and installing the Zoom desktop client, as well as show you how to check for updates.

NOTE: If you prefer to skip right to the section about updating the Zoom client, in the upper left corner of the video player, click on the Navigation button (three horizontal lines), then click on Chapter 2: Updating the Zoom Desktop Client.

I've been using Zoom desktop client for a few years on Windows server 2019 without a hiccup. After the latest Zoom update, it now won't come up. Does anyone here use Zoom on Win server? Does the new update work on server 2022? Any solutions?

i have the desktop client installed and it shows me logged in and active. I see meetings on the scheduel from the home tab on the desktop client. but when i try to join any of these meetings - it shows connecting and then kicks me right back to the home page. it doesnt show me the meeting so i am not getting connected to the meeting.

You could try a clean removal/uninstall of Zoom Application and then reinstall it again. This is to ensure that any corrupted files/config on the application is all completely removed before reinstalling.

If you have a Mac - try uninstalling Zoom by using their uninstall file instead of putting the Application in the trash.

You can do this by going to Applications -> right clicking on zoom.us -> Show package contents -> open Contents -> open Frameworks -> use the ZoomUninstaller file.

After this, try to reinstall Zoom again the re-test.

Thank you for the response. so i have installed the zoom client multiple times from a fresh install and rebooted my pc multiple times as well. Still same issue. I cannot see the meeting screen on my laptop and as i am booted back to the home screen - i believe the connections keep terminating.

Now I know this scheduling did actually work, because when my clients click the link I sent when inititally scheduling this call, they are able to access the meeting and I receive the email notifying me that someone has signed in to the call, at which point I can click the link in the email to start the meeting.

I also have this same issue with some - but only some - of the meetings that have been scheduled via integration with Scheduling. Some of them do show up as upcoming meetings, some do not and I have to wait for a client to join before I can start the meeting.

I would like to add that when you create a recurring meeting in the desktop app it allows you to do so using your personal ID. However when you create a recurring meeting in the web client it uses a randomly generated ID even though the personal ID option is selected.

If on the other hand you are scheduling meetings with Outlook or Google. Use the desktop app to create an "anytime" recurring meeting, copy the meeting invite details, then set up your recurring meeting in your calendar app independently of Zoom and past the meeting invite details into the appointment content. Use your calendar to keep track of your meetings NOT the Zoom app.

I have the same issue. It's a recurring meeting,it showed up as a recurring meeting on the "Meetings" tab of the desktop (Mac) and iPhone client, but has now disappeared, despite being a scheduled (recurring) meeting indefinitely, three times a week, for weeks to come. Now I cannot go in and edit the meeting, as it doesn't show up with my other recurring meetings.

Same issue. Happened to me in the past and today again after there were some transfers of ownership of the given meeting in Google Calendar. Generating a new zoomid from Google calendar doesn't seem to work.

I solved the issue by regenerating a zoomid WITH the zoom add on right pane opened. After saving the Google calendar event, it synced right away to the Zoom webapp. Hope this saves some time to some of you

Also, I would like to point out that the same applies even to the Windows desktop app. On the upcoming meeting section under the Meetings tab, just scroll down to the bottom of the meeting list and all the other recurring meetings will be there. I hope this helps anyone who is still struggling with the issue in the desktop app.

Zoom has recently upgraded the security standards for all Zoom meetings going forward. If you are connecting to a Zoom meeting via the desktop client then you will need to upgrade to version 5.0 or higher.

To check which version you have installed open the Zoom desktop app and select your profile picture (top right corner of the app). Then navigate to Help > Check for updates. If the version is 5.0 or higher then no updates are required on your part. If the version is lower then see the additional help points below.

Zoom has recently updated its desktop application, which you may be using to attend Zoom meetings. Because this update fixes a very serious security vulnerability, we strongly recommend that you update your desktop application before attending or hosting your next meeting!

Zoom frequently releases new client updates that bring new features or enhancements.

Please note: If you have an older client, or if your meeting participants have an older client, some Zoom functionality will not be available or work as expected.

To manually check for updates and install them, please follow the steps below for the desktop OS or Mobile OS that you are using.

Please note: If using the web client to join a meeting (which is not the same as joining the meeting from the web and then launching your desktop or mobile client), no updates are needed. Zoom manages the updates for the web client.

There are various ways to access CarmenZoom including the desktop client, mobile apps, and web portal. From these access points, you can schedule, manage and launch meetings, and choose personal settings.

You will get full meeting functionality with the desktop client running in your computer's background; you do not actively have to log-in. If you do choose to log-in to the desktop client you can join, schedule and manage meetings from there.

Zoom is a simple, all-in-one solution that lets you meet across desktops, mobile devices and conference rooms. Zoom is free to UCSF faculty, staff and students, and the UCSF Zoom instance is approved for use with restricted data.

To get a feel for the problem, visit maps.google.com in Chrome or Safari on a Mac, and do a pinch-zoom gesture. Instead of the map zooming in, as users would expect, the browser just creates a huge unusable mess.

But if the users acts really fast it still works. This is really annoying in a kiosk setting where a user does a pinch zoom on accident and has no idea what happened so the kiosk is just broken. I'll keep posting if I find a solution

As far as I can tell from research, no such current equivalent tag exists for webkit (or Chrome for that matter) that prevents a user from going to view -> zoom, pressing ctrl (or command) +/-, or doing a pinch gesture on a laptop track pad and zooming accordingly.

On the Download Center screen, click the Download Client button for Zoom Client for Meetings. This will download the Zoom client to your desktop. The Zoom client will be placed in your downloads folder.

To start a meeting, you can use any Zoom client or click on the "Join Zoom Meeting" link within a calendar invitation or email which is included in your Outlook client (or any client that contains the Zoom meeting link). Learn more.

When this issue has occurred, if you have previously enabled the calendar integration, instead of seeing upcoming meetings on the Zoom desktop client's Home screen, you will instead see an Add a Calendar link.
