Hello everyone,

I have been trying to integrate smart life into smarthings. I understand that not all smart life devices are compatible with smartthings integration. However I do have 3 switches and 2 outlets which claim smartthings capability. Those devices work flowlessly in smart life.

I have linked my smart life account in smartthings, and receive confirmation of successful linking, however no devices are added. Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

Thanks everyone who tried to help! I found the solution: after figuring out I also had issued with my link to Google Home, I read somewhere the advice to change the smart life password, which I did and Voila!! Problems with both smartthings and google home link solved! I thought I would share in case someone else experiences a similar issue and stumble on this thread

Smart Life provides extraordinary experience with your smart home appliances, including smart plugs, smart lights, air conditioners, humidifiers... As long as your device works with Smart Life, you'll be able to build automation tasks through IFTTT like turning on the living room light when you're back home.

If i go into google account / security and unlink smart life there it unlinks and is gone. If i link it again and refresh that page it appears there again. But still in google home all the devices are offline. yet in the smart life app i can switch them on and off with no problems.

Hi, Thanks for answering. They just stay there as zombie devices all the time offline. So I found a way to get them back online. You need to move all the devices to an unused room I. Google home. I made one called zombie room. Then you go to each device and physically put it in pairing mode again. Pair it to smart life. And do this for each device. Some of you zombie devices come back to life and you can move them back to normal rooms. The others will appear as new devices but still with the correct name. Then sync Google home again. Pit you can just tap on a device and remove it from Google home though.

When you unlink smart life, do the devices disappear in Google Home or do they just move into the "linked to you" section whilst remaining offline? This sounds like a "cloud sync" error to me at first glance and I haven't come across a true fix yet, only workarounds that make things usable again

Tutorial on the Tuya/Smart Life integration? Are you having trouble using it? It should automatically pull in your devices when you link either your TuyaSmart or Smart Life account. I will say, right now it is limited to lights, switches, smart plugs, & window shades. It might not add some other device types.

I tried my two teckin plugs to flash with tasmota. But it seems they are not flashable.

Looks as there are no ESP chips built into mine.

But since they are connectable via smartlife there could be some other way to get them into openhab?

Hey out there

I will like to come with a suggestion.

It will very great if there are cam and nvr support for Tuya / Smart life so if the cam see people or vehicle it can turn lights on. So we that have a smart home can integrated it better and not only with google and reolink app.

I hope there are other people that also want it to. and say it to reolink that i have do.

See now that's just insane. Hue White I can find for $15 and Color are expensive at $40 and that's not on sale. So for you yeah those Canada prices are killer. But really 25 bulbs???? why???? need a smart bulb in everything even though it's probably also controlled by a Insteon switch????

My smart home setup consists of Nest, August, Wyze and smart life plugs/switches/sockets. Amazon Alexa is the one thing that they are all compatible with. Alexa is the hub that binds them all together.

Thanks for the reply. This did not work for me. And so I reverted back to how my WiFi setting were before, and gave up for a short while. I then found the instructions for my smart socket. Instead, I didn't know my smart sockets supported AP mode, but it did and this is how it added. When socket is flashing 2/3 times a second, hold the power button again for about 6 seconds. This will cause it to slash once every two seconds or so. Then follow the steps for AP mode.

whoinow That sounds interesting.

I got my Hyperion intergrated into Homeassistant and already use an automation to turn the raspberry on after sunset and also a hue smartbutton to turn LED on/off.

I got a hue light behind the couch which I already managed to steer.

I got a shaft in the floor, left to the TV where I placed a lamp with a non hue bulb which runs via Tuya and Home Assistant.

So if someone's needed to try, I could give it a shot.

I have Vont lamps at home. I can connect them via Bluetooth to my phone or any other device, and the bulbs can also be connected to the Home Assistant. But I need to connect to the phone and change any settings. For example, you can even set up light automation for colour, brightness, and saturation. As for the addition to the Ambilight effect, I'm not sure there is such a function. I became interested, I decided to write to the manager of the smart bulb online store where I bought light bulbs. Waiting for an answer)

I tried to answer it, but perhaps I wasn't clear.

Originally I used one SSID ("The Internet") on both radio0 (5 GHz) and radio1 (2.4GHz).

My phone always connects to the 5 GHz interface.

The app for these smart devices requires that the phone be on 2.4 GHz wifi (which the smart devices require).

So I ended up adding an extra SSID ("The Internet Devices") on the 2.4 GHz radio1 just so I could connect my phone to it and therfore add the devices to it.

I have a few different smart home systems integrated with my Amazon Echo device, including Philips Hue, TP Link (Kasa App), and devices that use the Smart Living Smart Life App. Within the past couple of months, Alexa has been losing control over all devices that use the Smart Life App. For example, if I ask her to turn on a device, she responds with "[device] is not responding." If I try to manually control the device using the Alexa App, I receive one of the following "Waiting for Smart Life App", "There was a problem", or often I get no error but the device does not change to the requested state (although the Alexa App indicates that it has).

I am using smart life to control my smart life outlets, switches and such, I am want to use tasker to pull the status of the devices on/off and current inside temp, I use ifttt also but have not figured out how to pull the current status of the devices. I am not really wanting to control the devices with Tasker currently just pull the status.Any help would be great, I have all the auto apps and can use them if it works best. Thanks

Smart Life is an app/service that works with a lot of OEM smart lights, smart switches, and devices of all kinds. They provide the pairing functionality and get your device into the ecosystem you want such as Google Home or the Alexaverse. I use smart plugs quite a bit in my life as having the ability to remotely turn it off and back on again.

Are you looking for a straightforward way to control your smart devices simultaneously? SMART Life App makes it easy! In this video, we'll show you how to create "Groups" within the app so that you can customize and manage all of your smart devices in one app. If you create a group of smart lights, you can turn all the lights on or off and change the brightness or color temperature of all the lights at the same time. We'll guide you through the process step-by-step and ensure you're up and running quickly.
