This web app allows you to generate voice audio from text - no login needed, and it's completely free! It uses your browser's built-in voice synthesis technology, and so the voices will differ depending on the browser that you're using. You can download the audio as a file, but note that the downloaded voices may be different to your browser's voices because they are downloaded from an external text-to-speech server. If you don't like the externally-downloaded voice, you can use a recording app on your device to record the "system" or "internal" sound while you're playing the generated voice audio.

Want more voices? You can download the generated audio and then use voicechanger.io to add effects to the voice. For example, you can make the voice sound more robotic, or like a giant ogre, or an evil demon. You can even use it to reverse the generated audio, randomly distort the speed of the voice throughout the audio, add a scary ghost effect, or add an "anonymous hacker" effect to it.

Note: If the list of available text-to-speech voices is small, or all the voices sound the same, then you may need to install text-to-speech voices on your device. Many operating systems (including some versions of Android, for example) only come with one voice by default, and the others need to be downloaded in your device's settings. If you don't know how to install more voices, and you can't find a tutorial online, you can try downloading the audio with the download button instead. As mentioned above, the downloaded audio uses external voices which may be different to your device's local ones.

You're free to use the generated voices for any purpose - no attribution needed. You could use this website as a free voice over generator for narrating your videos in cases where don't want to use your real voice. You can also adjust the pitch of the voice to make it sound younger/older, and you can even adjust the rate/speed of the generated speech, so you can create a fast-talking high-pitched chipmunk voice if you want to.

Anyone else get this before playing a game? The person's mic will come on with a text to speech sounding message saying something like "InsertPSNnameHere suggests pass" and then the mic will go completely silent through the rest of the game. It has happened with at least two different people I have played against...what is the deal with it?

And it works perfectly fine, the issue that I'm running into is that the audio that's coming out of the synthesizer sounds extremely robotic, almost like when I'm using Google Maps and I get disconnected from the internet. Is using the voice Google Assistant leverages some other API that I have to enable?

This way, you can test all the voices to see if the "Google Assistant" voice you seek is somewhere in there, and if it's not available, you can keep checking as new versions of the Google text-to-speech engine are released. It seems to me that the highest quality voices in this test are both quality:400, and specify that a network connection is required.

You can swipe/refresh the listview of voices in order to check whether voices have been installed yet, or use the system's pull-down menu to watch for downloads... or go into Google's text-to-speech settings in the device system settings.

The maximum possible voice quality specified in the Voice class documentation is 500. In my tests I could only find voices up to quality 400. This may be because I do not have the latest version of Google text-to-speech installed on my test device (and I don't have Play Store access on it in order to update it). If you're using a real device, I suggest installing the latest version of Google TTS using the Google Play Store. You can verify engine version in the Logs. According to Wikipedia, the latest version as of this writing is 3.15.18.200023596. The version on my test device is 3.13.1.

Whether or not the Google speech engine will be available is not so much dependent on the Android API level of the device (as long as it's recent enough to run the Google engine), but whether or not the actual Google text-to-speech engine is installed on the device at all.

It might have sounded smoother at the start, but i had to change the voice from female to male, flatten the pitch, then manually adjust the pitch and formant and tempo. So if i used a different text-to-speech, it might turn out the same anyway. Plus it sounds good enough in the first attachment which was made the same way, which is why i thought i can just improve it without starting over.

**Description of the issue: The issue is the Speech option that is used when you highlight text, then right click, and select speech has the same monotone robot voice. My system settings has the Siri Female Voice enabled and reads everything else just fine. For some reason the voice is different when using Brave. **

How can this issue be reproduced? While in Brave Highlight a selection of text, right click, go to speech, then click on start speaking.

I am a new user of MIT inventor 2.

I found many programs in internet using TexttoSpeech function.

By default, when I introduce a text, I hear the voice from a woman.

And if i want to hear the voice from a man ? What I should change in the code ?

Is there any possibility to download and install different kind of voices ? If yes, which website I should consult ?

I believe the default TTS in most androids is a female voice. You can modify the pitch to make it sound more masculine or change the speech engine You can do that with code; see TextToSpeech... your device might have other speech engines already loaded. You may have to load an outside TTS ... see the articles.

If your project has text on screen (for example, in an e-learning module) you can even just leave the onscreen text as is and just make the voiceover sound more relaxed and natural by adding contractions where you can.

In the world we live in, no matter the language we speak, people have a wide variety of accents. For a recent project we were working on I used one of the international voices available, but entered English text into the tool. The result was a unique voice speaking English with a beautiful accent, and I think it added to making the group conversation in our project much more realistic.

One of the advantages of the new DNN TTS method is that the acoustic database can be much smaller than for a USS voice. Only a few hours of recorded speech are needed for a neural voice, compared to at least three times as many for a good quality USS voice.

Also, the resulting speech is generally smoother and even more human-like. This makes developing new, smart ReadSpeaker TTS voices with even more lifelike, expressive speech and customizable intonation faster than ever.

Just type your script, choose your preferred voice, and voila! You've got a killer voiceover to go with your Reel. But the benefits of these text to speech features on the latest version go beyond convenience. You can add whimsical, robotic voice effects to a surreal art piece or distort your voice to sound like you just inhaled a balloon full of helium, thus opening up a world of creative opportunities.

Time is a valuable commodity in the world of social media marketing. Using text to speech reels, content creators can save time by quickly converting text into audio without spending extra time creating captions or descriptions.

In spite of the benefits Instagram text to speech offers, it has some limitations. Firstly, the speech generated by the new feature can sometimes sound robotic and unnatural, which can be a bit off-putting for users who prefer a more human-like voice.

Secondly, the feature may sometimes mispronounce certain words. It needs help to accurately interpret the intended tone or emotion behind the text, which can result in inappropriate or confusing speech. For example, the word "live" can be pronounced as "liv" or "laive" depending on the context.
