The Connecticut DMV offers options online, by mail, and in-person to cancel your vehicle registration and plates or vessel registration. We call this terminating your registration.


You will need to do this if you no longer have the registered vehicle or vessel or if you have moved out of state. Otherwise, your vehicle or vessel will be subject to property tax assessment in the town of record until your registration is cancelled. 


Once the registration has been cancelled, the vehicle will be removed from the next cancellation list that is provided to municipalities on October 1 each year. 



It is free to terminate your vehicle or vessel registration.


If the vehicle/vessel is eligible for a refund, you will be given the option to request one during the online termination process. Checks will be mailed to you from the Connecticut Office of the State Comptroller.

We are strongly encouraging our tax payers and customers to conduct any Tax Collector business transactions including applying for or renewing your local business tax receipt, or requesting a change to an existing Business Tax account using the buttons located to the right under Online Options to access the online payment system and BTExpress for new applications instead of visiting our Public Service Office in person.

Local business tax receipts for each place of business, and for each separate local business tax classification at the same location, are required by Miami-Dade County and each municipality (if applicable).

The County issues local business tax receipts for one year, beginning Oct. 1 and expiring on Sept. 30. A business located within a municipality is required to obtain both a city receipt and a County receipt.

State-regulated professionals and businesses, such as physicians, engineers, real estate firms, mortgage brokers, restaurants, must submit current state certificates when applying for a new local business tax receipt. I have the new Weebly Online Store published and would like to ensure that my customers go only to the new store.

Hey @workoutguyva thanks for bringing this up. Does your URL go to your new online store currently? Also, when you click on "Online Store" on the Square Dashboard, does it automatically direct you to your Weebly online store or does it ask if you want to work on your old one?

And, ok, knowing that your Dashboard is still tied to both your Weebly online store and your old one, I would start setting up your new online store with Weebly. Doing this will merge your old online store to the Weebly one.

When you head to the Online Store section of your Square Dashboard, if you're seeing something like the screenshot below - beneath that section you will also see a link(s) to your original online store.

Once you're here, click on the original link to head over to the editor for the old online store. Click on Settings in the top right-hand corner, and you should see your Site Status options in the top right-hand corner. If the Visible Online and Accepting Orders options are currently toggled on, go ahead and toggle these options off.

Toggling this off will not have any negative impact on your new Square Online Store, and additionally will help the old one eventually fall out of Google search results. I need help with this as well. I cannot find how to turn the online site off. I have followed what was posted here, but I don't see the same thing. I wish we could just modify it in the receipt settings to go to the correct url.

I have been trying to delete the online store in Square as I was just playing with it a year ago to test it as a potential option for us. But I cannot even figure out how to disable the square online site.

Self-registration station envelopes: If a daily admission sticker or state trail pass is purchased, the envelope receipt serves as the daily sticker/pass.
