I have used this planner for several years and, mostly, love it. Great quality paper, love space for notes on each week and an area to list Things To Do. My only issue is I take it back and forth to work every day and the corners end up getting bent/frayed. I realize this is pretty OCD of me but it makes me crazy! I even bought a tote that has a special spot where I put it (where normal people would put their laptop but I leave mine at work) and am very careful. Currently researching ways to protect the corners. Otherwise...it's The Bomb!

Hi Christine,

Thanks so much for your review, we appreciate the feedback! We are passing on your color preference to our product development team. We are always looking at customer feedback to set the colors for each iteration of our planners.

Thanks again!

Kindly,

The Appointed Team

I have been buying my yearly task planner from Appointed for the last 3 years and I love it. I love how there is a place for everything, the size and color options, but i especially love how simple it is. Planners these days have way too much going on and I like to be able to decide what i'm putting where in mine. Customer for life!

I do understand that if in Planner I assign the task to myself, it shows up in the separate To Do app (which I don't use) or separate Teams app under "Assigned to Me". But "Assigned to Me" doesn't show up in Outlook Desktop client, only "tasks" does.

@madkin12 Sorry to say I have not found the solution. Tasks assigned to me in Planner do not make it to Outlook tasks. The furthest they make it is to the separate To-Do app, which unfortunately for me is a bit of an orphan product and doesn't sync with other things like Outlook does. It also doesn't show up as a sidebar in Outlook desktop, so you need to open up another tab and it's slow to open. Certainly no at-a-glance functionality like Outlook tasks. Sorry I can't help!

We recently attempted to make use of planner for a client and went through tech support and was told automatic calendar syncing to the members calendar group or even attaching the iCalendar can only be updated manually. When you create a new planner, any members added automatically get a new group calendar associated to their user account. This group calendar does not post any of planner's calendar items. The only way to get planner calendar items it to manually attach the iCalendar/public publish and this would need to be done each time a change is made in planner.

I mentioned to tech support that this seems to be either a deficiency in the product or a work in progress. They said it was by design . Then why even automatically attach a group calendar when creating a planner; to get hopes up :)

@NERD911 thank you. Unfortunately I'm looking for non time-bound tasks to show in Outlook. So while there is some calendar connectivity as you say, what I'm trying to do is create a TASK in planner and have it show in Outlook Tasks, not on my calendar.

In the meantime vote for it in the Microsoft Feedback Hub: planner task outlook  Community (microsoft.com) (unfortunately there aren't many yet voting on this)

Good luck!

The Planner API in Microsoft Graph provides a simple and visual way for teams to organize their work. What we want to do now is use MS Planner as our Kanban board where we put ideas and tasks more informally, but then be able to pull the Task name, Due Date, Start Date, Priority, Progress, Comments, Attachments, Checklist, etc etc all over into a Jira Issue... click a button "Move to Jira Issue"... select the Issue Type (this way we can define the MS Planner task as a bug, or a task, etc)... and then be off and running with Jira driving the issue to resolution. We would then want to be able to drag the tasks around the Jira Kanban in order to be able to see and keep track of the state/status of each task and have the increased power and flexibility that Jira offers to manage the project from that point... but while still updating the MS Planner task... two-way sync between Planner tasks and Jira Issues.

To reorder checklist tasks, simply drag and drop them to the order in which you want them shown. Reordering tasks by drag and drop can be done in all checklist views. Here's more information on each below!

The Zeigarnik Effect says that unfinished tasks are easier to remember. Meanwhile, the Ovsiankina Effect (a variation of the Zeigarnik Effect) says that humans tend to resume tasks left unfinished.

The planner is a special view mode that is similar to kanbanKanban board is a popular project management tool. In its most basic form, Kanban is indeed an actual board that features multiple columns (To Do, In Progress, Done) and a bunch of sticky notes, each representing a particular task in a particular stage. board. It helps you stay organized when working on tasks. This is your personal space, which you can customize to be exactly how you want it.

By default, the Planner view has only two stages: Not planned and To be done this week. You can edit them or create your own custom ones. If you have already added some tasks in Bitrix24, they will remain at the Not planned stage.

One of our directors is interested in generating reports based on Microsoft Planner data. I'm currently trying to find a way to transfer this data to Domo, but I'm having trouble using Power Automate. I came across a feature called "Export Microsoft Planner tasks to a SQL database" and was wondering if anyone has experience using it. Is there a simpler or more effective method to achieve this goal?

So i spent a few hours trying to make a Day planner and Task Tracker.

this is how the individual object and template turned out!

I added a planner with various buckets - when it was initially added the tasks appeared ok, however now I have added more tasks only the Buckets are visible when viewed on SharePoint. I have tried by adding as a web part and also via adding a plan - it can be selected ok, just no tasks appear! I have checking the Plan settings and selected Public - this did not resolve the issue. If I add a new Bucket - it appears immediately when viewed on SharePoint. Can anyone help? Also - I can add tasks in SharePoint - they are added in Planner but do not appear once added

Microsoft offers two similar products in Microsoft 365 for managing team tasks. Which one will work best for your needs? Read on to discover the pros and cons of Microsoft Planner vs. Microsoft Project.

Microsoft Planner helps teams organize their work visually. Users create a plan that can include grid, board, chart, and schedule views to manage tasks, with file attachments stored in SharePoint Online. Each view provides different insights into managing tasks:

Your personal Planner dashboard includes the Planner Hub, which displays a graphical overview of all the plans you are assigned to. The "My Tasks" view shows you all of the tasks assigned to you from all the plans and Office 365 Groups you participate in.

Some projects may benefit from a more advanced resource management tool like Microsoft Project, or from custom workflows you can create in SharePoint online. Planner may still be useful for such large projects, especially if you are part of a subcommittee or workgroup that needs to share tasks with only its members.

Also, if you click on the tasks number on the Tasks Statuses, Tasks Progress, or Tasks Summary cards, the Planner tasks page will be opened at once and the tasks will be filtered out according to the selected value. For example, if you click on the Critical tasks number, Critical tasks will be shown on the Planner tasks page at once.

Please note: The Planner tasks page is for viewing the tasks only, it is not possible to edit the tasks on this page. If you need to edit the tasks, open them in Planner, edit them there and run project synchronization in PPM Express, all changes will be present on the Planner tasks page when the synchronization is completed.

Tasks Summary section includes four cards where you can quickly review the tasks statuses, progress, summary, and timeline. All the numbers on the cards are clickable and can be used to filter out the information in the Tasks section.

Please note: These default calculation logic rules can be customized on the Insight settings page. If custom rules are set there, the custom logic will be applied to the task statuses on the Planner tasks page. ff782bc1db
