For Kat, MCAT teaching goes beyond explaining concepts and answering questions. Teaching is also about helping students develop the confidence, critical thinking skills, and study habits that will not only allow them to succeed on MCAT test day, but will carry over into medical school and throughout their lives. Kat got a perfect 132 on the Bio/Biochem and Psych/Soc sections of the MCAT and likes to remind students that, with a foundational understanding of content and strong problem-solving skills, you don't need to know everything in order to achieve a perfect score. A former D1 athlete and lover of games, Kat enjoys working with students to help them view the MCAT as a puzzle and ultimately "crack the MCAT code." Currently, Kat is a clinical researcher in the Department of Orthopedics at Seattle Children's Hospital and serves as a director for the nonprofit organization Synapse National. In her free time, Kathryn can usually be found hiking, skiing, or playing beach volleyball!

An Online LIVE classroom is separated by space but rooted-in real-world problem solving facilitated by the content expert. Online LIVE courses are 50% online, with a 50% synchronous meeting pattern once per week.
An Online LIVE course promotes interactive learning opportunities and allows for personalized interactions with the instructor. Each synchronous session is designed as an authentic learning experience while the foundational knowledge is delivered asynchronously in preparation for the synchronous authentic learning experiences.
