Here are ensembles demanding precision and dreamy clusters with super-long pauses ... here are pencils helping the pedal stay down, a whale's slow glissando of a yawn, a knocking of the knuckles on the lid, interacting overtones to listen for ... here are variations and a canon, 'moments' of music and longer songs, a piece just in fourths, another with parallel 6/4 chords ... here is a pentatonic piece and there one with right hand playing just black notes while the left hand takes only the whites."
This very unique young band composition paints a musical portrait of a day in the Adirondack Mountains coming alive as the sun burns through a misty morning. The composer here uses a pentatonic scale and layered melodies to create an inspired and soulful composition, clearly demonstrating that great music does not have to be difficult!
"Sunrise" is a song by English musical group Simply Red. It was released on 17 March 2003 as the first single from their eighth studio album, Home (2003), as well as the first single from frontman Mick Hucknall's new record label, simplyred.com. The song peaked at number seven on the UK Singles Chart, number three in Canada, and number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
David Jeffries of AllMusic panned the track, calling it the worst on its parent album. He added: "Hall & Oates get sampled and credited, but the vocal hook from Ace's "How Long" gets lifted without acknowledgment. It sounds as shoddy as one of the song-combining "mash-up" bootlegs that swept through the U.K., and could be a cover-up for Hucknall's lack of songwriting ideas."[2]
The main success of "Sunrise" was due in part to the sensual video being shot on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. It was filmed in February 2003 at the Das Canoas house designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer for himself, which has since been open to the public.[citation needed]

Reinventing herself as a gentile after escaping the Warsaw Ghetto, Zywulska was captured as a member of the Polish Resistance. While captive at Auschwitz-Birkenau, she wrote satiric lyrics to well-known songs that became anthems of resistance in the camp. While courting this dangerous notoriety, Kywulska continued to hide her Jewish roots from the Nazis and camp informants. Do we do whatever it takes to live another day: to see another sunrise?
The reason I chose to analyse this video is because I purely love it, and as well as all the other video I have analysed, I loved the attractive mise-ene-scene, with the use of colours, clothing, concept and genuinely everything. As well of course, I loved the song. Some aspects of this music video I would love to recreate in mine, such as the light-hearted comedy of it, and colourful aesthetic shots.
