I got my 2023 CRV Sport Hybrid a few days ago and I'm loving it! However, it is quite a large car with a long hood and parking can get tricky. I'm thinking of installing parking sensors (have them on my other car and they work flawlessly).

Note about Non-Priority ADA Parking for Men's Basketball Games:

ADA parking is available in the northwest corner of lot 56, at the corner of Razorback Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The shuttles will begin transporting two hours before tip-off and will drop off at the south entrance of Bud Walton Arena.

Tennessee Athletics has finalized plans to implement a simplified football parking process beginning with the 2024 Football season. The impending changes stem from more than a year of careful analysis and research, SEC and national peer benchmarking, and much internal discussion. Tennessee Athletics staff will work proactively to contact impacted Tennessee Football season ticket holders in the coming months to talk through these changes, and how it impacts their respective accounts.

The new model will maintain premium parking qualifications for the Skybox, West Club, East Club, Lower West Club, and Tennessee Terrace as your number of tickets will equate to the same number of eligible parking passes to request (Please see below). These passes will be able to be requested in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 lot.

Accounts with 4+ non-premium tickets, accounts with less than 4 non-premium tickets but have a top 1,000 donor rank, and accounts with premium seating will be able to request a pass(s) in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 parking location.

Each year, the Tennessee Fund may lose lots due to various circumstances, including new campus and athletic construction, in accordance with the campus master plan. In the event that happens, the Tennessee Fund will work with impacted donors to find alternative parking locations. To be eligible to renew your parking, you must renew your football season tickets. We will go through the donor selection process for parking, for the 2028 season.

Under the new parking model, donor rank becomes even more important. As we prepare for this change in 2024, we wanted to make you aware of philanthropic giving opportunities to potentially improve your donor rank. Please keep in mind that donations do not guarantee parking locations; however, improving your donor rank can potentially expand your parking options. All philanthropic donations are 100% tax-deductible and will increase your donor points! Click here to learn more about ways to improve your rank.

If their donor rank is 1,000, they will be eligible to request 1 parking pass in a Tier 2 Lot for the 2024 football season. If their account qualifies based on donor rank, they will also select this pass in donor rank order via the online selection process.

Following the renewal deadline, requests for parking will be sent to season ticket holders. Once all requests are received, we will go through our allocation process in donor rank order. Given the nature of the requests, there is a high possibility that our demand will exceed our supply in Tier 1 and Tier 2 lots, and some season ticket holders who requested parking will not receive a parking pass for the 2024 season.

Donor rank is the best method for allocating parking, because it considers the lifetime giving for a particular account and ranks them accordingly. This puts an emphasis on loyalty and longevity of giving, as well as leadership annual giving.

Donor rank will be locked for the parking process at a date that will be determined in the future. It will follow the 2024 renewal deadline. Communication will be sent out informing season ticket holders who requested parking when the last date will be to make any final My All donations or Shareholders Society commitments.

RVs: Season-long parking passes must be purchased in advance through the UI Athletics Ticket Office at a cost of $500. Limited parking is available and spaces are chosen prior to the season based on priority points within membership level.

Game tickets must be secured through the UI Athletics Ticket Office or authorized outlet in order to pre-purchase a parking pass (limit 1).

DAY OF GAME

Ramp are available at an hourly rate. Free parking and shuttle service available in the Hancher Lot, Hawkeye Commuter Lot, and Hall of Fame Lot. ADA parking will be available day of game in Ramp 4. BUSES / LIMOS

Parking is available on Hawkins Drive, along the northbound lanes. Prepaid passes are required for parking along Hawkins Drive. Space is limited to the first 15 passes sold.

To purchase a prepaid parking pass, email patrick-d-hansen@uiowa.edu prior to 12:00 p.m. (CT) on Wednesday of game week. Tailgating is not allowed near the bus and limo parking areas. Buses and limos may begin parking on Hawkins Drive starting six hours prior to kickoff, no earlier than 6:00 a.m. and are required to depart within 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

Vehicles wanting access to University parking lots and ramps east of Hawkins Drive (14, 49, Ramp 4) and private residences on and south of Melrose Avenue must approach from Melrose Avenue (eastbound) or from Riverside Drive and up Grand Avenue (westbound). Bus and limo parking on Hawkins Drive and vehicles entering Ramp 3 must enter Hawkins Drive from the north after closure begins (two and a half hours prior to kickoff).

1st AVENUE/EXIT 242 CONSTRUCTION

Fans traveling to or from I-80 should avoid 1st Avenue (Coralville). The ongoing major construction at I-80 exit 242 will persist all season long. During this time, 1st Avenue will remain one lane in each direction over I-80. This has the potential to create significant delays both pregame and postgame. Signage will be placed along I-80 and on Highway 6 to discourage fans from using 1st Avenue. Fans who need to access I-80 after football games from Kinnick Stadium surrounding parking lots are encouraged to continue straight through the Hawkins Drive/Hwy 6 intersection onto Rocky Shore Drive/Park Road, which ultimately connects to Dubuque Street (turn left to travel north approximately one mile to I-80). Alternatively, fans may access I-80 from Highway 6 via Coral Ridge Avenue.

HOSPITAL ACCESS

Emergency vehicles (both ambulances and individual vehicles) will be let through the security checkpoints to get to the hospital. Indicate to the security personnel that you are having an emergency or need to get to the hospital. For a full hospital map and to learn more about parking, visit Getting to the hospital on football game days.

If you liked your parking location during the 2021 season, be sure to visit the map and pull up your specific location. From that page, you can see the space layout from the 2021 season, what level donors were in this location this past year, and the membership level and expected point totals needed to be assigned to that lot for the 2022 season. These are just general guidelines based on expected membership upgrades, renewals, and changes in donor demand. For example, suppose a donor parked in the Tennis Center for the 2021 season and wanted to again for the 2022 season. In that case, the donor can see that 43 donors were at the Jervey ($5,000) giving level and above last year, with the other 49 spaces being assigned to donors at the IPTAY ($3,500) giving level.

To make this upcoming season the best yet, the IPTAY staff is looking at all parking lots for ways to improve the experience for everyone on game day. Possible improvements that have been reviewed include additional restroom trailers, better signage, adjusted layouts that aid ingress/egress, improved transit options, pedestrian safety improvements, just to name a few. Additionally, several campus projects could impact football parking inventory and pre and post-game traffic patterns each year. Typically these projects are finalized in the winter, planned in the spring, followed by construction in the summer as campus becomes less busy while students are away. Please stay tuned to the MyOrangeUpdate e-newsletter for more information and your email inbox to communicate any changes that may impact football game days at Clemson. Meetings are held weekly now and through the early summer to appropriately address all concerns brought to attention during the 2021 season.
