The system volume and Spotify app volume will stay full, the app is actually lowering the volume of the speakers themselves which is pretty strange (I bought the speakers recently and was about to return them until I had the idea to test some other apps).

I see I never updated this topic. For me it kept happening again later, so I called the store I bought the speaker from. The issue turned out to be a defective speaker. After swapping it at the store for the same model I never had this issue again.

I've already spoken with Vizio (speaker manufacturer) 6 times and determined 1) it's not a problem on their end, it's Spotify's; and 2) my surround sound sound bar system is just out of warrantee, so replacing it isn't an option for me.

Update: I chatted with Spotify Support for 2 hrs yesterday. While we tried several things already mentioned above, plus a hard reinstall of the app, neither the app or the desktop player will play at a normal volume still. So, my case has been escalated to their software development team to look at, and I'm now waiting for an email with further instructions.

I bought these cameras to be able to speak through them and have people or dogs easily hear. We can't barely hear the voice through the cameras. I have the most recent firmware and it's still so low. How can I increase the cameras speaker volume?! Or should I return them?

I have the same problem with a brand new Arlo pro. Sound is too low for anyone to here you. Support couldnt seem own up to there even being a problem. Said I had a bad camera and that the camera had to be within 3 feet of the person. Well I had it up to my ear and could bearly hear it. It also has the latest firmware from october 2017. Support logged into my account and spoke thru the speaker and it was louder but I figure they had some sort of gain on hteir end. Could be a problem with the app it self. They are sending me another camera. If its the same way Im returning the whole thing. No need to pay all that extra money for a pro if the speaker doesnt work.

Not netgears fault? Maybe they should have tested it with more phones before they started selling it. Or even list compatible phones. The video is great but I bought it for the mic and speaker. Too much extra money for something that doesnt work.

I would assume the speaker volume on the ORX wouldn't differ from the Deus, and if that is indeed the case then it should be loud enough for general coin/relic detecting. The only times that I do have difficulty on hearing fainter tones is when close to road traffic, very windy conditions especially with "tree" noise in forested areas, or trying to hear over waves at the beach. If I am working an area where deeper targets are expected or where you are at the point where the tones are starting to become consumed by ground mineralisation, then probably better off reverting to headphones to hear the finer nuances.

If prospecting I'd say you would benefit from sticking with headphones using the inbuilt volume control, especially for those targets that may only be a break in the threshold and easily overlooked when using the external speaker.

the volume level on the ORX remote control external speaker cannot be adjusted. It is pretty loud for normal conditions. You could get the audio adapter accessory, attach it to the back phone module and plug in an external speaker and let the back phone module control the volume level.

The ORX and Deus remote volumes are the same. If I need to go without headphones I stick the remote in my shirt pocket so that I can hear it better otherwise, the volume is not sufficient for me if I leave the remote on the stem, especially for fainter signals.

I normally use headphones but when in some quiet locations it's nice to go without. The Gold Monster has such a loud external speaker volume I never used headphones with it. I remembered the Deus was not too bad actually so wondered also about ORX. Thanks for the answers.

Hey! Just found the answer on a Best Buy forum. Press the settings button until the display reads "Rear Speakers" and then hold the settings button until the display changes. Then you can use the up and down buttons to adjust the volume. Just worked for me!

When you get to the 150hz use the circular ring on the remote and press the upper portion to go up to +6 or the lower portion to go down to -6. When you have that adjusted, press the settings button again to change it to 300hz and do the same procedure. Maybe it might help to choose some music or probably better would be a movie in 5.1 or something like that. It doesn't seem to be a drastic change so you have to listen carefully. I sat between the two rear speakers when I adjusted.

Whenever I unplug my headphones, Premiere completely ignores the machine's volume settings and blasts the audio from whatever sequence I'm editing at full volume. Plug the headphones back in, and volume controls work again.

It doesn't matter if I start with the headphones plugged in or not. I don't have any external speakers plugged in. Premiere appears to be recognizing the switch from one output to the other. It's just not responding to volume controls pertaining to the Mac's internal speakers.

Yes, same here - I didn't understand why my volume control wasn't working. But my system audio was set to a non-working thing (a holdover from a program that shouldn't have been running any more) and when I changed that to my Macbook speakers I was able to control Premiere's volume.

I noticed that when I am playing my chiming clock sounds, the sequence is:

bleep - seems to be at 70% volume, as set

first chime - at 45% (volume has dropped!)

all remaining chimes and final time announcement - at 45%

By activating the GH with a brief silent clip a few seconds earlier and then setting the volume correctly immediately after, it is still active when I make my actual announcement. If the initial activation incorrectly sets the volume back to 45%, my sequence has a chance to restore 70% before the actual announcement.

Hey man, FYI I have that same unit. That is not amplified and be super careful adjusting it as i've found that board to be really fragile and picky. There should still be an amp running the signal and volume somewhere i would think. I'm running a half dozen speakers i would supposed thought and it is also line with the amp that runs the paging system. That's why your little turn did so much i thing. Find the amp. there's likely more than one volume control for each input channel or a master volume at the least.

I am using the new GoTo app for Windows. The new app does not seem to allow me to adjust the speaker volume while I'm in a meeting. I could adjust the speaker and microphone volumes in the older GoToMeeting Windows app.

This morning, I received an update to my GoTo app for Windows desktop. When I attended my first meeting today, I now have the ability to adjust the volume of my headset using the Windows volume control!

Regardless, adjusting the system's volume should change GoTo volume output anyway, so I'm sensing something may be confused there. Can you check with your computer's manufacturer website to see if there are any audio driver updates available?

No, the GoToMeeting application is not listed in the Windows volume mixer. I see my Bluetooth headphones and laptop speakers. Adjusting the system volume does not change the volume in my Bluetooth headset when I'm in a meeting. No other PC volume (like YouTube) will play on my headphones while GoTo has an active meeting. As soon as I end the meeting, I can listen to system sounds and control the volume through normal Windows volume.

The Volume Mixer in Windows (introduced with Vista I believe), lets you adjust the individual volumes of applications that you have running. You can use this to make the audio from the GoTo App softer or louder than other applications as needed.

Thanks for the tip on the Volume Mixer. It works to lower the GoTo volume. However, the Windows system volume has no effect to either raise or lower the GoTo app volume. I am on Windows 10. GoTo app version 0.105.11.

I typically take calls through my headphones, where volume changes work as expected. However, if I disconnect my headphones to listen to the meeting through the laptop speakers, the volume changes. For a split-second the volume will be at the correct level, and immediately afterwards will reduce so low that it's almost impossible to hear (think listening to headphones without having them in your ears).

i'm having the same issue, i was using an IPAD and when I discovered that the volume is very low, I opened the laptop instead of IPAD and logon to teams to discover that the volume is also very low, which means that the issue in the teams itself!!@Ian_Lewczynski

@Diabolo Having the same issue today (12/21/2020) with all of my TEAMS video meetings this morning. I use an iPad Pro with the latest software updates installed. My volume is at 100% in order to hear others in the meeting, and they all say they can barely hear me / each other.

Starting today the Teams volume on my IPad became too quiet. My Windows machine does not have this problem but I think the video/audio microphone is better than my external camera/microphone on my Windows machine and I usually prefer it.

@ThereseSolimeno I tried looking at that link and it didn't help unfortunately, my speakers are still very quiet despite being fine yesterday and it being a new laptop, and my setting are on the maximum output

@mrmanhatten24: Is the issue persistent across all apps? Have you tired heading to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume, and making sure that each volume slider is at a suitable level? If they are, head to the Members app > Press and hold on the app icon > Diagnostics > Speaker, and follow the on-screen instructions. Are you able to hear the sample songs clearly during the playback? 2351a5e196
