It's possible you have some other playlist or songs in the queue ready to start playing. So, if your account is Premium, we'd recommend you check if there's something on the queue to play next. This is still happening in 2023. They don't care if they fix anything for their own customers. They have had plenty of time. I can't play any playlist on random,. I have to hit Enhance which means playing songs I do NOT want to hear. Control, control. control. This is one of the more bizarre problems I've had. Whenever I double click on a song or press a play button Spotify will skip exactly 6 songs and then play 9 or 10 seconds of the 6th before it won't play any more. What the hell is going on and how can I fix it?

Ive just updated to the latest Firefox stable (89.0) - Disabled the DRM plugin and the setting "Play DRM content", browsed to the spotify web player, the message "You must enable DRM...." appeared, clicked on "Enable DRM" and the newest (4.10.2209.1) DRM plugin was installed and now it works

Using a different browser did not work, because I did not find a 32bit browser, that is compatible with the spotify web player. (When I use chromium the player says that I should activate DRM-content. But that already was activated. When I use the falkon-browser the player says: "please use a compatible browser".)

Can you confirm that you followed the steps that are provided in this article? There's some more steps to help thoroughly uninstall the app from your device, so if you haven't, we'd highly suggest it since the steps will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

I have the same problem no matter what device I use, no matter if I logout and log back in, no matter if I restart device. It will only be spotify. I can go directly to anything else with sound and it will work. It happens from the app and the web player. It will show the song playing, but there will be no sound. It is very frustrating and it is happening more and more lately. I haven't found a pattern to when or why it happens. It seems to be completely random. Like I said, it is very frustrating and happening more and more often.

Is this happening with the web player only? If you haven't already, we recommend checking off the steps listed in this article. If possible try a different browser or consider installing the app.

I have this same problem. SOME songs play, but others don't. I have premium, using the app or in-browser player, doesn't matter. I can play some songs and they work just fine, but I play other songs, and they're "playing", as in the oscillator over the little play button animates, but there is no sound. It seems like only the songs from the playlists that I've downloaded actually play. Nothing else will. This IS an issue with Spotify, because I've got no other sound issues anywhere else in my system. Sounds like something Spotify needs to look into, instead of passing the troubleshooting off onto their users and paying customers.

The issue seems to be with any songs that I've tried playing or adding this morning. Anything I tried to play before this worked fine, but as of this morning, any new music that I haven't already played before now, plays, but has no audio.

I suspect this is an issue with how sonos requests songs from the spotify servers. I can imagine that if not properly handled, Spotify is kicking something back thinking that 2 songs are selected for concurrent playback (not allowed right)? And maybe that is causing issues.

In my environment, everything is hardwired, wireless is disabled, and only using spotify as music service. VERY reproducible whenever crossfade is turned on. In my case, the error from sonos says something about the song not being encoded correctly. Also submitted a diagnostic, 2066460297.

Unfortunately, Alexa can't do this right now. This is somewhat disadvantageous, especially if you have had Alexa shuffle music from a favorite artist, and you want to go back to a song you hadn't heard before. What was its name? If you weren't near the screen, or listening through a dot or echo, you can't get back to it easily.

It turns out that the list of recently played Alexa songs is available on the Recently Played list in the Amazon Music app. It's a couple of levels down the tree and takes a bit of hunting, but it's there. I would suggest putting it in the Alexa app as well, either under Lists or under the Books, Music ... tab.

I second that motion! You used to be able to tap something in the Alexa app and you could see the list of songs that had been playing while you've been listening. Now all I see are what's currently playing with no way to find the history of songs just played. I used this all of the time...Amazon, please bring this feature back to the Alexa app! Thank you!

On the iOS Amazon Music app you can view your recently played songs list by clicking Library on the bottom toolbar. It should default you to the Recents option on the top toolbar, if not, click Recents. You will see Song History, click that and it will bring up the list.
