Her songs are a reflection of her personal experiences, deep fellowship and intimacy with the word of God and the Holy Spirit, whom she regards as her essence, thereby providing a source of revelation and strength to those who listen to them.

This statement of truth forms the essence of the song because it captures the thematic preoccupation of the song. Also, being the chorus, Victoria Orenze shows her strong conviction about her articulation of faith:

Throughout the song, there are no scattered emotions or apprehensiveness about the unknown. Instead, the song commands an ambience of trust, faith and peace of mind. The persona is rather ready to go head to head with the devil because she is sure of victory.

AfriTunes community as we all know is a community where we share and promote amazing African songs weekly. This community has challenged me in many ways like having to research and listen to varieties of African music, learning them, understanding their meanings and learning other languages as well. Recently I've been trying to incorporate a lot of local dialects in my presentation. That's because in my opinion, a song isn't just African because an African sang it.

It's the musical instrument used, it's the language, it's the message, it's whatever portrays Africa.

This week I decided to pick a Yoruba song which has a few English words as well. Victoria Orenze who is the artist that owns the song is a powerhouse of amazing, powerful, soothing christian music. I loved this song instantly.

The song says that whoever thinks evil of me, my father will fight my battle. Whoever comes to destroy me will meet my father at home ?. This song screams trust, confidence, and the next level kind of faith! The lyrics are so powerful.

From the moment I heard the song, I just said to myself "Fear, it's over". Meaning that there's no more room for fear, anxiety, sleeplessness cos I get backing! So if you're looking for a gospel song to keep your faith and confidence in place, this is a valid recommendation.

I love the line "Whoever comes to destroy me will meet my father at home". The song carries allot of strength beyond the physical. This is an amazing acapella presentation, thank you for sharing this with us @didiee

I am so sorry about you voice @didiee. African music is really interesting, pure Afro genres has in fact turned out to be my best music genre. You have done a great job with that song, and I really appreciate your effort...

"This song relates to the different scenarios we go through in life. If we are privileged to have our eyes opened to the many unseen deliverances and victories that we enjoy daily, we will understand the song better. Whether we like it or not, there are evil and wicked men in the world, who just want to do the bidding of their Father, the devil; which is 'to kill, steal and destroy'.

Sometimes, People just hate you for no reason, and will always look for ways to bring you down. The strife and the hate in this world are real and loud, but as Believers, we have to trust God's protection, guidance, and help, to navigate through life successfully! The song's powerful lyrics remind us that we are NEVER ALONE.
