That's the $299 Galaxy Watch 6 and $399 Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. They are the first watches to run the newest version of Wear OS that promises closer integration with Google apps like Gmail, plus improvements to overall battery life. The main differences between the two watches are price, build material and the rotating bezel that returns to the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.

Samsung's Galaxy Watch 6 is the best Android watch for most people. Both the Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic have incredibly bright screens that hit a maximum 2,000 nits, so seeing your watch in all lighting conditions is easy.

But overall, these watches are similar to the Galaxy Watch 5, only offering incremental updates to battery life and screen size. You'll still need to charge the watch every day, especially if you want to track sleep.

Beware that the battery isn't as strong as other options on this list and you'll likely find yourself charging this watch every day, especially if you like to do outdoor GPS workouts and track your sleep. It's also only available in one 41mm size.

Garmin makes plenty of great smartwatches for fitness enthusiasts, but they don't always have that many smart features. The Venu 2 hybrid smartwatch offers the best of both worlds. You can respond to notifications from the watch with quick replies, use contactless payments with Garmin Pay and store music from apps like Spotify. The bright AMOLED circular screen is easy to see outdoors and the battery lasts for 5 days or more. The Venu 2 Plus offers all the same features, but includes a speaker and microphone for taking quick calls from your wrist when your phone is in range, or talking to your voice assistant. Garmin has recently announced the Venu 3 which we will review soon and update this list accordingly.

If you're looking for a fitness-focused Android watch without too many distractions, which works with both Android and iOS, the Garmin Venu Sq is the watch to get. It has a built-in GPS, plenty of workout options to choose from, and lots of fitness tracking data about your workout like heart rate zones and running dynamics in the mobile app.

This Android smartwatch also doubles as a health tracker with high and low heart rate alerts, a comprehensive sleep analysis and SpO2 tracking. It measures blood oxygen levels on demand, or automatically throughout the day and night just like the Apple Watch Series 7, but for half the price. But you do compromise on design. The watch has a plastic frame, and the watch face's screen isn't as big or as vibrant as those on some of the other watches on the list. There's also a newer version of this watch, the Venu Sq 2, with a battery that lasts even longer, but it is significantly more expensive.

If you're looking for an Android-compatible watch that looks more like a dive watch, check out the Withings ScanWatch Horizon. It has regular watch hands and a tiny circular display that shows notifications scrolling across it like a ticker. But the focus is mostly on health-tracking features like monitoring your sleep, heart rate and workouts. There's also an ECG onboard, and the battery can last two weeks or more.

Ryan Whitwam has been wearing and writing about smartwatches since the first Android-powered wearables debuted more than a decade ago. He has tested dozens of smartwatches in the intervening years, along with hundreds of smartphones, tablets, and other devices. He has covered these categories for multiple sites, including Wirecutter, Android Police, Android Authority, PCWorld, and more.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic has a lot in common with the regular Galaxy Watch6, although it may not look like it at first. It has a more traditional watch design with a raised bezel around the screen; the bezel rotates, giving you a quick way to navigate the interface. The Galaxy Watch6 Classic is also made with a stainless steel chassis, which is stronger than the aluminum casing of the Galaxy Watch6. But it has the same battery, processor, and sensors, so paying its higher, $400 starting price makes sense only if you need the navigation wheel and the stronger frame.

It has the fastest wearable chip. The Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 is the most powerful processor you can find in a smartwatch, and the TicWatch Pro 5 uses it to great effect. Everything on this watch is lightning fast, and the Snapdragon chip is tuned to operate in low-power mode with the dual-layer display, which makes switching between low-power mode and full functionality quick. Leaving Essential Mode takes a couple of seconds, though.

I recently purchased a fenix 6. Have it paired to my phone, get notifications to watch for my Personal profile. However I have a separate Work profile, with a separate Play store and apps that are controlled by my work's phone admin group.

The first thing to check is whether your phone is compatible with it - you can't use an Apple Watch with an Android phone, and you can't use a Google Pixel Watch with an iPhone. Beyond that, consider the battery life and the features - how often will you be happy charging it, and what do you really need out of your watch? A simpler watch can be a better pick.

We've tested and reviewed many smartwatches, including the most popular and high-end entries, like the latest Apple Watch models, including the Series 9 and Ultra 2, and Samsung smartwatches. We've also spent time with Fitbit's offerings and Wear OS watches from brands like Fossil, Ticwatch and Mobvoi, too, ensuring that there's something for everyone in our best smartwatches guide below.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is top of the list because it does everything you want an Android watch to do. It runs a version of Wear OS, it offers advanced health features such as ECG and blood pressure monitoring, and it's reasonably priced.

The Apple Watch 9 straddles the line perfectly between the Apple Watch SE and the Apple Watch Ultra series. It's a great smartwatch for fitness enthusiasts and everyday communications needs alike, provided you're an Apple user.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is a smart-looking watch in every sense of the word. It looks great on your wrist while offering powerful features. A larger Super AMOLED display is sharp and clear, as well as able to handle very bright outdoor scenes.

There are several cordova plugin available but I did't find any relevant answer or tutorial or blog using which I can learn smart watch integration. In native this task is easy but using same plugin and target both apple and android smart watch is more important and cost will be less for development.

The Galaxy Wearable app is the core for everything related to your Samsung smart watch. However, this app is only available on your phone, which means you need to connect your watch and phone together. Samsung watches are only compatible with certain Android and iOS phones - make sure your phone is compatible before you try setting up your watch.

Note: When connected with Non-Samsung mobile devices, some features created by each manufacturer may have limited support and some features, like Samsung Pay, are only available on Samsung smartphones.

I work out on a treadmill regularly. I have an Android tablet attached to the treadmill. It occurs to me that the tablet screen would be a good place to display exercise metrics from the watch. I wonder if there's any way to cast the watch's screen to the tablet, or for that matter to a phone or even to a TV.

Perhaps rather than casting just the screen contents, the data transmitted could be customized for the target device. After all the tablet screen is much bigger than a watch screen so it could display a lot more data. Likewise with a phone or TV. Or maybe show just the watch screen as a small picture-in-picture.

Cool idea but I highly doubt the CPU of the watch is powerful enough to support that, nor would you be happy with the battery life. Wifi usage on the watch drains the battery heavily, you'd be lucky to make it through a 60m workout I suspect without the device going flat.

And no it would not be a power problem to transmit data, the watch is already broadcasting live heartrate and steps to Garmin Connect. It should manage to do that with other data fields (at least some selected few), but I don't think Garmin wants that.

The Fenix 6 series supports the ANT+ Extended Display profile. Most Android devices also support ANT+, so in theory you could write a custom Android app that implements the sensor side of the Extended Display profile. This wouldn't be true screen casting or mirroring but it would allow the Android device to display the same data fields as on the watch.

The best Android smartwatch isn't just the most stylish or feature-packed; the wearable needs to balance thoughtful, versatile design, with a reasonable price tag and software that simply just makes sense. We've reviewed, rated, and of course, worn just about every wearable on the market, so if you're looking to buy a new smartwatch, you've come to the right place.

With the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Pixel Watch 2 leaping into the fray, most Android superfans will look closely at those two options at the top of our list. Our list goes well beyond those two, however! From cheaper options to fitness-focused watches, hybrids and last-gen models, you have plenty of options available to you. e24fc04721
