For all of you experiencing this, I would test the screen sharing using a fresh browser profile (slightly more effective than testing with a Private window, although that information may also be helpful) and see if this behavior still occurs.

If I share a single windows it works now and then. But, in this case, if I stop sharing and then re-share another window, participant still see the old window, even if I closed the application that generated that window in the meantime. To change window I have to exit the meeting and re-enter.

Nothing at all works. I have all the latest drivers for the samsung monitor. It is incredibly frustrating as my company has a "cameras on all the time" policy, and I always need to share my screen, and I can do neither with Zoom. I have none of these problems with Google Meet or Teams.

Open the Zoom app Settings and head to the Video tab. Now, in the right pane, click on Advanced and expand the dropdown of the Video Rendering Method. Now relaunch the Zoom app and check if it is working fine. If not, restart your system and upon restart, check if the Zoom app is clear of the screen sharing issue.

I have same issue with screen sharing with nextcloud 15.07 (tried both php7.2 and 7.3) and talk app 5.03 . When screen sharing is enabled the participants cannot see each other and the call gets disconnected-connected on loop . I had to use the docker image with nextcloud 14 and screen sharing works without problem .

So what i did to make it work with nextcloud15 is to uninstall talk 5.03 and install 5.01 from and screen sharing works without a problem.

I have same issue here with 15.0.7 and Talk 5.0.3.

I am using coturn als TURN Server.

Audio and Video is working fine as long one one is sharing his screen.

As soon as one of the participants is sharing screen, audio and video is dropped and only the shared sreen is shown.

When screen sharing is stopped audio and video is comming back automatic.

Same issue with Firefox as well as Chrome

The issue with Ubuntu 22.04 is that it now uses a display feature called wayland by default, while in versions prior to 21.04 Ubuntu defaulted to using xorg as its display server. Wayland does not support screen sharing by default (until now, at least!).

I have a computer with a Nvidia EVGA Geforce GTX - 1660 Super graphic card with a Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS OS and none of the above answers worked for my case. Neither the chrome flag, neither dismissing the safe mode of wayland and neither changing to use xorg on logon screen.

You'll be prompted to grant permission the first time you try to share your screen. Select Open System Preferences from the prompt.


If you miss the prompt, you can do this anytime by going to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

To share sound, select Share content in your meeting controls and then Include computer sound (it's the switch on the top right of your sharing options). All sound from your computer, including notifications, will be audible in the meeting.

To get a better look at shared content, click and drag it to see different areas. To zoom into or out of content someone's sharing during a meeting or call, use the buttons at the lower left of your meeting window: [+] to zoom in and [-] to zoom out.

Currently, attendees who join a meeting using the HTML client can view your screen, windows, or open applications that you share in the Share pod. They can also view shared whiteboards and all supported files in the Share pod. Connect also supports native views of PDF, PPT, MP3, MP4, Presenter, Captivate, and Whiteboard in HTML client. In MP3 and MP4 videos, Hosts can hide the play bar for HTML Participants. Due to the Autoplay policy introduced in all browsers, HTML Participants must allow the playback of shared video and audio files.

You can maximize the pod to make contents larger or share in full screen mode. To display the Share pod at full screen size, click Full Screen in the upper-right corner of the pod. Click the button again to return to normal display size.

To prevent attendees from switching Share pod to full screen or change the view, hide the title bar. To hide the title bar of a Share pod, Hosts and Presenters can click the menu options  and select Hide.

Connect displays only hybrid Captivate and Presenter content to HTML client users. As a meeting Host, if you upload new non-hybrid Captivate and Presenter content, Connect shows a warning message that the content will not be displayed to HTML users. If you reshare previously uploaded PPTs, Connect prompts to run the conversion process to make the content visible to HTML and Flash participants. If you reshare existing non-hybrid Presenter and Captivate content, a warning message informs that the content will not be visible to HTML participants.

New Presenter and Captivate content is supported for versions Presenter 11 and Captivate 9 onwards. As a Host, if you upload unsupported content versions, Connect displays an error message. If you reshare existing content in unsupported versions, Connect displays a warning message.

As a host or presenter in a meeting, you can share windows, applications, or your entire desktop. Your account administrator can restrict the applications and processes that you can share. As a participant in a meeting, to share your screen, a host must give you permission or promote you to a presenter or host. If users have a dual monitor setup, upon clicking Share My Screen, users get an option to share either of the two monitors. However, only one screen can be shared at a time.

When you share anything on your computer screen, actions you take in the shared region are visible to all participants in the meeting. Participants follow the progress of your cursor as you move it across your screen. When starting a screen share, the hosts and the presenters can enforce their settings for the participants. The Share pod can be opened in full screen mode for all attendees for a better viewing experience.

The region or regions that you share must be visibleon your desktop to be visible in the Share pod to other participants.Overlapping windows on the desktop appear as a blue crosshatchedpattern in the Share pod. If you are sharing an application andshowing the native cursor of the application, you can enable the ShowApplication Cursor option in the Screen Share tab in the Preferencesdialog.

The Room Bandwidth Settings in Administrator > Compliance and Control > Share Settings to set the quality of screen share. Whatever value you choose here, the quality of the screen share reflects the same.
