2- When searching a person name on search everything, it appears all the tasks the person is assigned for either as an owner or as an executor. Is there a way I can show only the tasks this person is the executor across all boards? And what about summing all the Total Time (one of my columns) on the items this person is an executor? I used Everything for searching files on Windows 7. I made many changes in the file system based on the results (deleting and renaming specific files), and I want to check if I covered all the files I have been looking for. Therefore, I need Everything to re-index and give me new results. However, I have not found any option for this on its menus or on its website.

I've searched the above site's forums and google with no success..I understand that the application is proprietary freeware and so I will not be able to obtain the source code. However, I've never heard of any apps where info about what language it is written in is hidden.

Is there any chances to get similar search function for Ubuntu as in Windows 7 where it searches everything within the system and even inside text files? I don't know if it's called "universal search" or something. The one under the start menu in Windows 7. For instance if I search "holiday" it comes up with all my text documents that has such word or file name and any application which may have that word in it's title.

There is an indexing framework Tracker that is aimed for global desktop search on the Gnome desktop, the desktop used by the default Ubuntu version. The Tracker daemon and its miners search all files and their contents, and index this in a database to allow quick search from clients such as the Activities Overview.

There is a possibility to start it just for the duration of the search but that would be beyond the point of having fast results. If you press the search button and then don't enter anything as a search term and hit ok it will start everything.exe itself.

everything was running, but i forgot to start it with admin rights after doing that everything works fine...

i hope you / the dopus developers find a solution for the collection import.

btw great addon for 2 great programs

A nice solution would be if the dopus developers added the capability to import a file containing a list of files in a collection instead of having to do it 1 by 1. Another would be the ability to import entire collections in opus without restarting. Source code is available for the database search tool es.exe so if anyone has any better ideas please feel free to share them.

It's not the case with archives and folders it seems. I'll have to write a script to intercept and split the path and then pass the parent path and the filepath / foldername or understand the cryptic everything.ini more and find a way to pass both arguments from there.

I tried search and replace within the script but the escape character poses a problem for the commandline which gets passed to opus afterwards, I mean why the hell use ' when you can use backslash or ` as in every common language. 2351a5e196
