Roger That! 2024 is focusing on Life in Space! Wait, does that mean living things on other celestial bodies, missions to find microbes, or considerations about where else in our solar system could life be present? Or are we talking about life in space, like what is it like to be a human in space? The answer is yes! We are taking a look at "life" very broadly, including microbes, plants, animals, extraterrestrial life and homo sapiens, the only life form (that we know of!) that has intentionally left the Earth to explore what lies beyond.

Roger is the only dry bulk trucking software company backed by a team with decades of agribusiness experience. After this many years in the industry, we know the challenges that slow you down and the opportunities that make your day-to-day easier and your business more successful.

A battery-powered radio is great to have on hand in the event of a power outage or other emergency, but an even better option is an emergency weather radio. This one uses a solar panel, hand crank, USB cable, and AA batteries to keep its battery charged, along with a bright LED flashlight that can also be used as an SOS beacon. It features a 2000mAh power bank, providing up to 12 hours of light or 4-6 hours of radio time. It can also power up a small tablet or phone.

A radio is great, but good reception is key. This Kaito emergency radio has a telescopic antenna that extends up to 14.5" for high sensitivity reception. Built-in speakers deliver loud and crisp sound, so you're never having to guess what's being said.

Library staff frequently receive questions which only require a quick explanation to start someone on the path to understanding. As hard as we might try to answer every question, that explanation might be wanted or needed at a time when a librarian or other library staff member might not be readily available.

The Library wants you to have the tools you need so that your research and study time goes smoothly. More topics are planned, but if you have suggestions for additional topics, email us at lawlibraryhelp@rwu.edu. We are happy to hear which tool you think should be next.

Nicki Minaj stated on her Twitter that all three rappers featured on the song never actually met the song's producer, Phenom.[2] Minaj stated the drum beat was sent to her by Gmail who sent it to Lil Wayne which later led to the song being released on the We Are Young Money LP with all three rappers adding verses.

XXL gave Minaj a positive review on the song stating, "On 'Roger That', for instance, YM's female MC Nicki Minaj steals the spotlight".[3] HipHopDX also favored Minaj's verse but stated the track would be better without Wayne stating, "Nicki Minaj owns most of the tracks she's present on including 'Roger That' and 'Fuck da Bullshit', two more songs that could've done without Wayne."[4] Planet Ill gave the song a negative review stating " 'Roger That' is the final breath for an album that's lifeless by its end." Nathan S. of DJ Booth gave the song a mixed review commenting on Minaj as part of the whole album but predictable in "Roger That" stating, "Nicki Minaj can't be ignored, although over the course of an album her wild style can become oddly predictable (especially on 'Roger That', where she sounds almost bored)."[5]

This I hate to do as a matter of policy, so I paused before replying. Fast food isn't necessarily all that fast, and although I could charge waiting time, stopping along the way for any significant period is a money loser for me. I make money when the transmission is in drive, not park. But it wasn't a very busy night, and the guy was, at this point, a bona fide regular, so...

We sped along Route 15, passing the Fort before hitting a red light at Susie Wilson Road. For years, I told customers that the street was named after the woman who, back in the day, operated a brothel just past the corner of Kellogg Road. (This was the local received wisdom.) Oh, the embellishments I came up with on each retelling! That is, until some Seven Days reporter did a story about the real Susie Wilson that revealed the brothel tale to be a fanciful myth. Phooey, I thought as I read the article, reluctantly absorbing the debunking. A guy only has so many colorful tales in his quiver.

At that moment, my course of action was clear: de-escalate. I had never seen this side of the man, but I intuited he was just confused, and not actually trying to scam me out of the fare. Not that his reaction wasn't disturbing.

My customer fumed for the five-minute ride, still convinced that I had tried to double-charge him. He stormed out when we reached his girlfriend's place. I didn't hear from him again until he called a month later.

I could easily have dropped this guy from my roster, but I trust my instincts. I think that incident at McDonald's was just Roger having a bad night. One thing, though: The days of cup-holder payments are over.

It has seemed that, as time has gone on, Fairfield has only become more adventurous, ambitious, and strange...so, it should come as no surprise that they've now introduced what may be their most unique and bizarre pedal to date: Roger That! Mimicking the behavior of failing radio transmitters and receivers, Roger That! is a novel approach to effect pedal design somewhere between a fuzz, distortion, waveshaper, and noise synthesizer. Have you ever just sat there with an analog radio, listening to all of the hiss, buzz, crackles, and noise blasts as you slooooowly tune between the stations? Well, Roger that is basically that sound in effect pedal format.

First things first: when your signal passes into Roger That!, it immediately hits a JFET preamp circuit with a variable front-panel drive control. It has enough gain to go from simple boost to gritty distortion, with plenty of shifts in tonal color in between. From there, you have two outgoing level controls: one for your dry signal, and one for your wet signal (the signal that passes through the "radio"-style circuitry). It's important to note a couple of things: 1) the dry signal and wet signal are both taken after the JFET preamp, and 2) the phase of the wet signal is inverted with respect to the dry signal. We'll talk a little bit more about what that means later.

In short? If you like gnarly sounds and you want an effect that'll give you a completely new perspective on what your instrument can sound like, Roger That! will offer tons of new sonic territory and inspiration.

There are quite a few wheat growers in Washington state that are not afraid to voice their desires, concerns and opinions. Be it equipment, cultivation, weed control, crop rotation, fertility, soil health, fungicides, timing of operations, marketing, regulations or many other factors, the real art is in putting together a well-tuned system. Wheat varieties are a part of that bigger picture and interact with many of the other parts of the system.

As a wheat breeder who makes variety selection and release decisions, I rely on input from the wheat industry to make sure our variety development priorities are properly aligned. Grower, industry and public investment from the Washington Grain Commission (WGC), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, state and other funding is the lifeline that supports our efforts.

Similar to challenges that wheat growers face, the Washington State University (WSU) Spring Wheat Breeding program approaches statewide spring wheat improvement like trying to fill a barrel that is riddled with round holes, by using some square pegs and some hand-crafted solutions. Some focus and strategy are needed when breeding a rotation crop in a state with dramatic variation in environmental conditions, including soil, water, temperature, disease, cropping systems and at least four commercial market classes/subtypes of spring wheat. We try to fill the biggest gaps to make the barrel full.

For the Kollers and many other wheat growers statewide over the past 10 years, the focus of our small spring club wheat breeding effort has been to establish diverse, yet elite, germplasm with Hessian fly resistance; Hessian fly susceptibility was the most fatal flaw in available varieties. So, essentially all club wheat breeding materials that we have made were designed to bring in Hessian fly resistance. Substantial research in my program has focused on developing DNA tests to track Hessian fly resistance. Our focus on Hessian fly testing increased through collaboration with University of Idaho scientists, Drs. Arash Rashed and his predecessor, Nilsa Bosque-Perez, funded by the WGC. The toolbox has finally come together.

Michael Pumphrey is an applied plant breeder that continues to be intimately involved in production agriculture. Pumphrey holds the O.A. Vogel Endowed Chair of Spring Wheat Breeding and Genetics at Washington State University and leads the spring wheat breeding and genetics program. His research is focused on development of biotic and abiotic stress tolerant, high-yielding, and high-quality spring wheat varieties for diverse Washington (Pacific Northwest) production environments. He also teaches one undergraduate crop sciences course and one graduate plant breeding and genetics course. Read more about Dr. Pumphrey.

Gerst: Hey, nice to talk with you Jim! You know, I think you're right. Theoretically and probably practically Einstein's General Relativity does say that we are aging a nanosecond or so less than people on Earth. But, in reality to me, it seems like time is flying by up here in space. The last half-year went by just like a snap, so maybe we'll have to correct that theory. We might have to send Einstein back to the books [laughs]. Over." 006ab0faaa
