Roboto AI, a company working to create tools to help robotics developers go from a prototype to a reliable production system, emerged from stealth with $4.8 million in Seed funding. Unusual Ventures led the round, which also included the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) and FUSE Ventures. Roboto AI is also partnering with researchers and professors at the ETH Zrich AI Center.

Robotics companies oftentimes have to develop all of their infrastructure, anything from custom hardware to data infrastructure in-house. This could cost startups crucial time and money that could be spent getting their systems into the world. Roboto AI hopes to make development easier by providing a platform that supports robotics data.

"IFR is a unique international association having members from groups, companies and research institutes from around the world who are involved in robotics. IFR widely offers useful data, opportunities and other benefits not only to its members, but also to the world at large. There are high expectations that IFR will enhance the synergy and mutual support among all its members to become drivers to energetically establish a sustainable society."

"IFR brings opportunity to network and engage with other professionals and entrepreneurs in the field of robotics to together ensure both that more companies and more people benefit from adopting technologies. I believe we are witnessing one of the greatest technological shifts in the history of mankind, during which Robotics, AI and related technologies have the potential to transform every industry and aspect of our lives within the next decade."

Established in 1987, IFR has brought together the international robotics players in more than 20 countries. It is a unique platform for sharing information and exchanging ideas, thus contributing to the dynamic development of the robotics around the world. The role of IFR is becoming more and more important for further global development of robotics in the future. CRIA is proud to be part of this international robotics family.

"The International Federation of Robotics is here to provide a reliable and highly trained professional network for the robotics community. By sponsoring the International Symposium on Robotics (ISR), the IFR stands as a major driver for researchers and engineers from around the globe, allowing them to present their pioneering works in service and industrial robotics."

"One of the key benefits of the IFR is its influence on public opinion, to bring across the positive impact robotics has on economic performance, and to ease fears of technology. Particularly in times such as these, in which populist messages are prevalent, society needs an institution that informs objectively about robotics with well-founded statistics and research."

"Robotics technology is the key element of future production. This is already clear in the automobile industry and other relatively large scale productions. But now, robot co-workers are creating new opportunities and applications, particularly in the medium and small size enterprises, through easier set-up and reasonable costs. The IFR introduces these applications and paves the way towards potential future markets."

In 2022, worldwide sales of professional service robot grew by 48%. Almost 158,000 sold units were registered by IFR Statistical Department. The size of the RaaS fleet grew by 50% to more than 21,000 units. At the same time sales of Consumer robots decreases by 12% to about 5 million units. There are hardly any RaaS models offered in this category.

I used a gearbox from a toy (more exactly, from a bubble gun, like this one). In this previous instructable, I showed more in depth how to transform a bubble gun into a gearbox for robotic projects. For things of live, I have more access to broken bubble guns than to servos. Now, if you don't feel in mood of getting bubble guns and destroy them, you can get this 3V gearbox, and use one or two for this project. You will need to adapt some things, before passing to the next step, but nothing a hot glue gun a some creativity can't solve.

I like to organize the pieces on the ground, before assembling. This gives me the idea of how the robot will look, if there is any extra piece I need to find, or maybe, if the robot will work/look better with other materials.

I drilled a hole on the center of each bottle cap, a hole on each arm and a hole on each side of the robot's body. Then I attached the arms and the caps to the body, using screws and nuts, leaving them loose enough for free up and down movement (you will see why on next steps).

I connected one cable from the motor to the positive pole of the batteries holder. I connected the other cable to one of the pines of the switch, and I connected the center pin of the switch to the negative pole of the batteries holder. I placed the batteries and tested the robot to check it goes forward (if your robot doesn't go forward, change the polarity). I fixed the connections with the soldering iron.

I drilled a small hole (big enough to fit a brass pin) in the arm and wheel of each side of the robot. Hole on the wheels of the robot must be alternate, as the same way of the ways, in order to give alternate movement to the arms.

Rise above staffing crises, crippling backlogs and crunchy turnaround times. Vecna helps you do more with less by choreographing uninterrupted work between robots, labor and facilities to solve for your most critical warehousing workflows.

The song tells part of the story of Robert Orin Charles Kilroy (ROCK), in the rock opera Kilroy Was Here. The song is performed by Kilroy (as played by keyboardist Dennis DeYoung), a rock and roll performer who was placed in a futuristic prison for "rock and roll misfits" by the anti-rock-and-roll group the Majority for Musical Morality (MMM) and its founder Dr. Everett Righteous (played by guitarist James Young). The Roboto is a model of robot which does menial jobs in the prison. Kilroy escapes the prison by overpowering a Roboto prison guard and hiding inside its emptied-out metal shell. When Jonathan Chance (played by guitarist Tommy Shaw) finally meets Kilroy at the very end of the song, Kilroy unmasks and yells "I'm Kilroy! Kilroy!", ending the song.

The song's video, directed by Brian Gibson, depicts Jonathan Chance (played by guitarist Tommy Shaw) walking into the Rock Museum to meet Kilroy, and a robot approaches. After this, it morphs into five robots moving and dancing (choreographed by Kenny Ortega).[14] Shortly thereafter, the robots transform into the members of Styx, including a clean-shaven Dennis DeYoung (he shaved his trademark moustache off at the conclusion of the Paradise Theater tour in 1982). The video then alternates between the band playing the song on a stage and scenes from the Kilroy Was Here backdrop film. Then, the members of Styx morph back into the robots and DeYoung confronts the robots, screaming in the ear of one of the robots before collapsing. DeYoung awakens to see he is being experimented on and runs off. The video cuts back to the ending of the first scene and Jonathan Chance climbs on to the stage. Before the robot removes his mask to reveal Kilroy, another shot of the robot with lights on is used to end the clip.

"I just want to send a follow-up and let you know how successful this event was! Paul and team did an outstanding job, the employees were incredibly engaged and had so much fun partaking in this activity. This was such a huge success and having a rep from BGC to come to pick up the robots really helped it come full circle."

From SCARA, 6 axis industrial robots and cobots to mobile robot systems and Automated Guided Vehicles AGV, our powerful, high-precision solutions allow us to work with clients in many industries to help them tackle the challenges of Industry 4.0.

The aseptic filling and closing of vials, syringes and cartridges in small batches calls for highly flexible automation solutions. One innovation, made possible by a Stubli Stericlean TX2 series robot, is a small-batch filling and closing machine that meets even the most demanding requirements in terms of safety, efficiency and flexibility.

The most efficient humanoid robots also would likely offer some degree of customization, allowing the customer to feel a sense of control. Consider a robot in the home, programmable for specific tasks in specific rooms, or a personal butler robot at a hotel that could speak in different voices, selectable by the user.

Robots are our partners in the future. This exhibit showcases a collection of design activities and experiments by students at San Jos State University as they test the creative possibilities of collaborating with a robot.

Innovative designers have the opportunity to advance design, craft, and customization using industrial robots. These robotic explorations are unprecedented learning opportunities that teach students about cutting-edge content creation and fabrication methods that will allow designers to transform the professions and industries to which they will bring their robotic expertise. This means opening the door to the future of craft and design to the next generation and giving them the space, skills, and imagination to explore new activities and job opportunities.

Annual spending on robotic hardware, services, and software is expected to be US$128.7 billion by the end of 2022, according to IDC. This growing investment will drive increased innovation, lower costs, and greater adoption.

But perhaps the biggest breakthrough is that robots no longer need to act like automated turtles, always carrying everything they might need everywhere they go, thanks to cloud computing and the continuing development of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

Capable of dealing with increasing variability and complexity of tasks with greater efficiency, these robots are being designed, developed, and deployed everywhere. Crawling robots and flying drones are inspecting otherwise difficult- or impossible-to-access pipelines and power lines. ff782bc1db
