How to I stop the uber drive app from boosting the volume? I was listen to music while waiting for orders, I finally got one and it maxed the volume up when it rang which hurt my ears I'm on Android. Shouldn't it be using the ringtone stream not the media? Please help

edit: wow i cant believe I JUST found the buried setting to fix this issue RIGHT after posting this. Turns out if you click account and scroll all the way down to app setting and then click on sounds and voice there is a setting in there i never seen called trip alert volume and it was set to max volume. There is a second setting that says control with phone. I think this is the fix. but why couldn't uber just tell me that?

I updated the Insular app this morning (I run two profiles on my phone, private and work profile, the latter created with insular).

Muting and unmuting gave back the ringtones I previously selected (not the standard ringtone), but there is no possibility in selecting a new one.

Everyone loves ringtones. You can express your personality and musical preferences by customizing the ringtone on your iPhone. This is usually done by purchasing ringtones in the iOS Tone Store, or syncing your own tracks to your iPhone with iTunes, which can be a real pain...

On the other hand, iMazing lets you both import and export ringtones to and from your iPhone, and offers this feature in the free version too. You can use iMazing to copy audio files to your device to use as your own custom ringtones. You can access iMazing's ringtones view by clicking the Ringtones icon in the left sidebar (below your device), or in the main view. iMazing loads all the ringtones on your device and displays them in list form. iMazing shows each ringtone's name, duration, and, if you have purchased ringtones from the iTunes Store, or added your own, it will show the artist and album name, if the files contain that metadata.

To set a contact specific ringtone, open the Contacts app, pick the contact you wish to set a custom ringtone for, and tap Edit. You can then tap the Ringtone button and pick from the tones you imported with iMazing.

Select a ringtone, or multiple ringtones, and drag your selection to your desktop or to a folder on your computer. Alternatively, you can click the Export button to export your selection to the location of your choice.
