Both missing features are related to sharing reels in stories. One of them is: everytime my friends repost a video, the video gets those beautiful round edges, showing how many seconds it has and whatnot. I always get that big old square and, sometimes, it gets so awkward and buggy that the videos I share on my stories are on the center of the screen while the reels icon and the account username are miles away from the video, on the far corners. I've been trying to figure it out and I wonder if that layout is only available in iOS?

*Note: An alternative way to add the countdown timer to your story is to open a new story from scratch, click on the Create option from the stacked menu on the left-hand side of the screen, and scroll through the options on the bottom bar until you see the Countdown option.

I prefer stainless steel reels but I do still use Paterson reels occasionally. Before you load a roll of film into a Paterson reel you should take a scissors and round off the leading edges of the end of the film. This will prevent the sharp edges from scratching against the inside of the reel and should help you get the last 12 frames in. As another poster mentioned, these reels should never be loaded when wet. Many years ago I tried to load a roll of 220 film into a Paterson reel. I had to give up and get a 220 size stainless steel reel. Developing tanks and reels are quite inexpensive on eBay. If you haven't tries stainless steel yet this might be a good time.
