Thanks everyone for the replies. Unfortunately I still haven't been able to uninstall, I've already reinstalled recuva and the error still remains. I tried to do the procedure indicated in the microsoft community pointed out, but I didn't have success either.

To that point i recently asked for the return of recuva portable, so it can be loaded on a flash drive (preferably on a different pc) and used from there, reducing data loss to the affected drive. So there are others who wish for builds to return.

After accidentally ctrl-z ing away a folder full of photos I used recuva to get the files back. The files were all there but when I try and view the photos my computer tells me that it doesn't support the format (they are all .jpgs, which shouldn't cause problems.) What happened? How can I get my pictures back?

I have found that it doesn't matter what is typed in the Filename or Path box as recuva will do the full scan anyway and then disply what has been chosen, so you can change the filter criteria without doing another scan. ff782bc1db
