I would love to see an mp3 player that is powered by a AA battery and has a full sized SDXC card slot. It would be even better if it navigates by a choice of folders or ID3 tags, and especially appreciated if it has AM as well as FM HD radio. Not everyone wants the smallest possible player, but most people do want a player that will fit comfortably in a typical shirt pocket.

If Sandisk thinks that a AA battery based player will be too large, then how about some new AAA battery based players with a micro SD card slot, navigation by folders, and a low powered monochrome display that is on all the time the player is on. It could be like the display on a digital watch, and have a backlight that is on only while a dedicated button is pressed.

The advantage is not having to worry about battery power remaining, or to connect the player to charge. One could carry some spare batteries and never run out of power. AA or AAA battery does not equal alkaline. There are high capacity nimh AA and AAA batteries. Most chargers charge up to 4 of these at a time. A player using a AA or AAA battery could be packaged with a charger and 2 or 4 rechargeable nimh batteries if manufacturers want to discourage use of alkalines.

it is easy enough to carry some spare batteries. With a player with a built in battery, if I deplete the power in the battery, I might be without use of the player for part of a day, but if I then forget to charge it when I get home, I might be without use of the player the next day as well. With rechargeable nimh batteries, most chargers will charge up to 4 at a time, and many chargers charge them in under an hour. Some charge them in just 15 minutes.

"Full sized SD cards come in capacities up to 32 gigs. This may or may not be an advantage if the current Sansa line of players do indeed have a problem with identifying and recognizing song counts over 4000. "

it is not about being far from an outlet for a long time, but remembering to recharge a player with a built in battery when it needs it, and leaving enough time to do so. Some chargers will charge up to 4 AA batteries in just 15 minutes.

For those who are looking at a first record player or a bump up from the experience of a record player-in-a-suitcase, the choices can be daunting. And expensive. Entry-level systems are often underwhelming in audio (and overall) quality. Some are built around cheap needles with heavy tracking force that wear out quickly and can physically damage records. Start looking at a record player or turntable with decent capabilities and features like a name-brand cartridge, and costs quickly rise. Then there is the expense and complexity of connecting to an amplifier and speakers, or a set of powered bookshelf speakers.

Setup is very straightforward. The record player comes almost completely pre-assembled. All you need to do is remove packing tape then pop on the counterweight and platter mat. Wire the speakers together, connect to your phone with Bluetooth (for streaming), connect the record player to the speaker with included RCA cables, then power the systems up.

The combination is an attractive bookshelf system that lets you listen to records, plug in other external sources (like a CD player or a TV) and play tracks from your favorite streaming service using Bluetooth. In true, two-channel stereo.

I am on this forum for the same reason, that is I use battery powered mp3 players. My need are a little more spealized, I need players that will play audible.com files. I have a old Sandisk SDMX-1 512R. I am looking for another as I wear them out often.

I beg to differ, I have an old SanDisk MP# player that I bought before I went on vaction to Asia. I wnted something that I did not need to charge. Still works, It also has an F/M radio. I guess I bought it around 2006.

Thanks,I was happy with your help, and very disappointed with the game since I only play in single player, I hate using cheating and getting things in admin mode, too bad the game, in one player, is not as editable as Ark survival evolved.

If you set a maproom near UC, you can teleport far away, for example into the jungle, then back.

Leaving the area and/or teleporting (admin teleport, or maproom usage) resets everything in single player.

If I farm a boss I do the admin teleport away than back instead of savequitting.

This is my steam powered record player built to play a Sex Pistols LP. Yes, it is true steampunk. The engine was made mainly from bits and pieces I had lying about in my junk box. The boiler was made from some copper water pipe and a bespoke platter and base was made using wood. I am using an Arduino to control everything buy using a coil to detect the passing of magnets in the edge of the platter. The Arduino works out the revs then feeds this information into a PID controller the output of which drives a servo controlling a throttle on the engine. The speed is regulated to 33 1/3 (well, more or less) and displayed on an analogue meter. The tone arm uses an old phono cartridge that connects to my phono pre-amp and into my stereo. The hardware is complete and works well but the software could use a little tweaking. It does however run!

IBM, the official digital partner of the Masters, is once again supporting the Tournament digital experience through a series of applications and technology innovations. New for the 2022 Tournament, the Masters is introducing Projections with IBM Watson, an artificial intelligence (AI) feature that analyzes 22 different training factors (such as weather, previous performance and biographical information), and 40+ zones on the course (fairways, greens, etc) to generate daily predictions for each of the golfers competing in this year's Masters. Player Insights with IBM Watson, which were announced at the 2021 Tournament, are AI-generated insights on every player in the field. Alongside Player Insights, Projections with IBM Watson will be integrated into Masters Fantasy and player profile pages, which are available in the Masters app and online experience.

IBM has been the digital partner of the Masters for more than 25 years, working closely to bring unparalleled experiences to the global Masters audience. Starting with the launch of Masters.org in 1996, the Masters has collaborated with IBM on a journey to the hybrid cloud to streamline workloads and deliver new fan experiences through cloud and AI technologies. The implementation of that technology has been showcased continually, including through the introduction of AI highlights, Round in Under Three Minutes, MyGroup, Player Insights and Projections powered with IBM Watson.

The Masters app and digital experiences, both powered by Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Watson, have the capabilities to bring these innovations to life for patrons during the Tournament. The accelerated pace of innovation for these experiences is a testament to the power of the IBM hybrid cloud.

So are you saying the two can't live together or that you just temporarily disabled Play Music?

Android does have another stock music player, of course. Why isn't that the one Assistant tries to startup? Has to be a setting..or order of install?

To enter to win the Player Plus Studio Sessions, players must submit a recent single or music video, as well as a live performance to best showcase their talent, playing and skills. Only original music written solo or with co-writers can be submitted. Instrumental acts, bands and solo artists are all welcome. Players must be 18 years of age and able to make their way to the nearest selected city and studio on their own, as travel will not be included.
