My question:

I am missing the Restore button (the button between minimize and Close).

I already have updated, uninstalled and installed again. Non have solved the problem.

Currently I am on the latest versoin: 10.11.1

Each time I open Postman, the Postman Window is Maximized an covering all the beyond windows. I cannot move it to another screen, I cannot resize it and as shown in the picture, I do not have the Restore size button.

I am not sure if this question can be asked in this forum or not.

Recently I have noticed this, when I open postman tool in my computer, I am not seeing taskbar in the bottom.

I always has to minimize the tool to see other tabs in my computer.

And also I see only Minimize option, not maximize.

Is this like this since beginning ?

Would you be able to share the App Startup Logs from view > Developer > View Logs(.zip folder), Network Logs from View > Developer > Show DevTools (Current View) and View > Developer > Show DevTools (Shared) and send them to help@getpostman.com?

I am having the issue to open the postman desktop from Windows 10. I had followed the instruction -us/articles/360025359014-Troubleshooting-steps-for-Postman-desktop-issues to remove all postman local files from AppData\Local\Postman and AppData\Roaming\Postman. And reinstalled the Postman-win64-8.12.5-Setup.exe. However, I still not able to open the postman desktop. Any suggestion? Thanks.

my instance of postman was stuck when trying to prepare workspaces too, What finally worked for me was to install from v6 again and then follow instructions from postman itself to do updates v7 and then v8.

I am using windows 7 (32 bit). I am facing the same issue. While installing Postman it gets stuck saying preparing your workspace. I tried the solution mentioned by you i.e I deleted old folder of postman from AppData - Local & Roaming and again downloaded latest version for installation, but no luck and got the same issue again. May I know what could be wrong in my case as I am using windows 7 (32 bit), and I tried installing 8.8.0 version of postman. Please reply as I have spent weeks to resolve this.

Thank you for writing back to me. Yes as you mentioned I kept it launched for more than 15 minutes still it did not start, both Postman 8.8.0 & Canary versions. I think postman needs to do assesment of system specification for application to run (pre-requesite like .Net version, Java version etc). As of now using postman version 6 .

If you have multiple versions of the app installed, please make sure to remove them before reinstalling the app. If the issue persists, please collect the logs as per this article here and send them to help@getpostman.com.

When I uninstall postman and reinstall it, some of my previous collections load back up. I feel like something is wrong with my config so when I uninstall I want all of that saved data or config to be deleted. How do I do this.

I was using Postman to get oauth2 tokens and it was working fine. When I needed a new token (for a different account), I could not because the browser is cached the old user. So I tried to remove all the cache for the browser in the developer tool. After that my postman has become unstable.

Should I understand that the web and the windows desktop are specifying the same working directory? (i.e. I can only have 1 working directory that is used by both?) Or is there a different working directory, one for the web, one for the desktop?

I was running old version of postman, but now I got it updated and the problem still continues. I also uninstalled the app and reinstalled with the newest version I downloaded today from postman website, but still after about one minute of usage the app freezes completely.

May I know if you are particularly facing this issue in the latest release - v.7.30.1 and not in earlier versions?
