I had this glitch earlier when connecting a USB-C hub with a Micro SD card and an Anker USB SD card reader with Micro SD card, it was when plugging both in with micro-sd cards, Windows File Explorer went crazy and started creating empty drives and I couldn't disconnect the drives, I wasn't able to access the Anker drive in particular it wouldn't load. Previously they never showed empty drives when nothing was connected but now if I plug in my Anker 2-port card reader (Micro SD and SD) if a slot is empty it shows up as an empty drive in File Explorer on Windows.

So the problem is that I know I can remove the drive letter assignments, but that means that if I plug something into the slot it will not appear in File Explorer until I manually re-assign it a drive letter. So that's not an option. I do not want to go back to not showing hidden folders/files or anything like that, the system worked fine with showing hidden items before, what I want is for the behaviour of these glitched card readers to return to normal where an empty sd slot does NOT show up as an empty drive. If I put a Micro SD card in the card reader I should only see the Micro SD card drive and not this:

I've done some testing and I've tried uninstalling the drivers for the USB-C hub and Anker card reader, then plugging it back in but that doesn't change anything. I've tried to delete the partition/volume but because there is no media in the slot it just gives a virtual disk error, nothing is in the drive so can't delete. My suspicion is that it has something to do with the driver because when I plugged it into my second Windows PC, it also shows the corrupt behaviour of displaying the empty disk. Wondering if anyone has seen this problem before?

Methods:  An anthropomorphic phantom constructed with ten liver lesions of varying size, attenuation, and shape with known volume and long axis measurement was scanned (120 kVp, 80-440 smart mA, NI 12). DICOM data were uploaded to five commercially available 3D visualization systems and manual tumor volume was obtained by three-independent readers. Accuracy and reproducibility of linear and volume measurements were compared. The two most promising systems were then compared with an additional prototype system by two readers using both manual and semi-automated measurement with similar comparison between linear and volume measures. Measurements were performed on 5- and 1.25-mm data sets. Inter- and intra-observer variability was also assessed.

Results:  Overall mean % volume error on the five commercially available software systems (averaging all ten liver lesions among all three readers) was 8.0%  7.5%, 13.7%  11.2%, 14.2%  15.2%, 16.4%  14.8 %, and 16.9%  13.8%, varying almost twofold across vendor. Moderate inter-observer variability was present. Volume measurement was slightly more accurate than linear measurement, but linear measurement was more reproducible across readers and systems. On the two "best" systems, the manual measurement method was more accurate than the automated method (p = 0.001). The prototype system demonstrated superior semi-automated assessment, with a mean % volume error of 5.3%  4.1% (vs. 17.8%  11.1% and 31.5%  19.7%, p < 0.001), with improved inter- and intra-observer variability.

Phantom x Male Reader(or just like they/them masc reader) you both are very new to the relationship, just starting to get used to actually like, touching each other and gently holding one another, fluff stuff yknow? ok thank u bye-

As the music got more hopeful, you started staying longer and longer in the tunnels. Many a night you spent wrapped in your warmest winter cloak, the music of your angel lulling you into soft and dreamless sleep. You had even written a few more letters for your angel, proclaiming your deepening feelings for the phantom figure.

It is often difficult to determine who will be reading your documents. It is important to distinguish your audience before writing. When writing to a wide variety of people, knowing their cultural biases, assumptions, and customs are essential. There are a variety of resources online that provide cultural information about countries around the world. Understanding differences reduces the amount of miscommunication when doing global business. As an example, in the United States the date is commonly written Month, Day, Year, but in other countries they write a date Day, Month, Year. Knowing this can reduce the confusion with when things are sent or due and with timelines. Learning information about other nationalities helps you relate to your readers as well as prepare you for the future. Readers will appreciate your knowledge about their customs.

It is not always possible to know who your reading audience may be. Many emails or memos written to your intended audience may go through numerous people. Although you may be targeting one type of audience, it is important to not forget about the "phantom," "future," and "complex" readers.

Phantom readers-Real but unnamed readers are phantom readers. They are "behind the scenes" and their presence is usually unknown to a writer. Phantom readers are included in communications that require a decision. A clue to phantom readers presence is that the person written to is not high enough in organizational hierarchy to make a decision. It is important to meet the needs of the phantom readers because they may be the most important reader.

Future Readers-Written communications may still be used weeks, months or even years after being written. Every company document is considered a legal document, so lawyers and judges could be future readers. Future readers can also be employees who retrieve old communications for information or ideas. Writing communications with future readers in mind will save time and give documents an appeal that will please a wide range of readers.

Complex Audiences-Addressing a group of people who will be reading from many perspectives is a complex audience. Focusing on writing to complex audiences will allow you to relate to people from many different backgrounds. It is important to relate to each reader while not taking away from your overall communication.

You can submit your own 500 to 600-word reader feature at any time, which if used will be published in the next appropriate weekend slot. As always, email gamecentral@ukmetro.co.uk and follow us on Twitter.

Background Limited cathartic preparations for CT colonography with fecal tagging can improve patient comfort but may result in nondiagnostic examinations from poorly tagged stool. Dual-energy CT may overcome this limitation by improving the conspicuity of the contrast agent, but more data are needed. Purpose To investigate whether dual-energy CT improves polyp detection in CT colonography compared with conventional CT at different fecal tagging levels in vitro. Materials and Methods In this HIPAA-compliant study, between December 2017 and August 2019, a colon phantom 30 cm in diameter containing 60 polyps of different shapes (spherical, ellipsoid, flat) and size groups (5-9 mm, 11-15 mm) was constructed and serially filled with simulated feces tagged with four different iodine concentrations (1.26, 2.45, 4.88, and 21.00 mg of iodine per milliliter), then it was scanned with dual-energy CT with and without an outer fat ring to simulate large body size (total diameter, 42 cm). Two readers independently reviewed conventional 120-kVp CT and 40-keV monoenergetic dual-energy CT images to record the presence of polyps and confidence (three-point scale.) Generalized estimating equations were used for sensitivity comparisons between conventional CT and dual-energy CT, and a Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used for reader confidence. Results Dual-energy CT had higher overall sensitivity for polyp detection than conventional CT (58.8%; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 49.7%, 67.3%; 564 of 960 polyps vs 42.1%; 95% CI: 32.1%, 52.8%; 404 of 960 polyps; P < .001), including with the fat ring (48% and 31%, P < .001). Reader confidence improved with dual-energy CT compared with conventional images on all tagging levels (P < .001). Interrater agreement was substantial ( = 0.74; 95% CI: 0.70, 0.77). Conclusion Compared with conventional 120-kVp CT, dual-energy CT improved polyp detection and reader confidence in a dedicated dual-energy CT colonography phantom, especially with suboptimal fecal tagging.  RSNA, 2020. ff782bc1db
