The Microsoft Remote Desktop client is used to connect to Azure Virtual Desktop to access your desktops and applications. This article shows you how to connect to Azure Virtual Desktop with the Remote Desktop client for Windows, which will only allow you to subscribe to a feed made available to you by your organization administrators.

A workspace combines all the desktops and applications that have been made available to you by your admin. To be able to see these in the Remote Desktop client, you need to subscribe to the workspace by following these steps:

If you selected Subscribe, sign in with your user account when prompted, for example user@contoso.com. After a few seconds, your workspaces should show the desktops and applications that have been made available to you by your admin.

From the Downloads folder, right-click on the file mattermost-desktop-setup-5.6.0-win.exe, then select Open to start an installer for the app. Once finished, the Mattermost desktop app opens automatically.

Automatic desktop app updates can be disabled by configuring the supported group policy. Tip: If you use a work or school account, you might not be able to use Drive for desktop or your organization might have to install it for you. If you have questions, ask your administrator.

To find your files in Drive, search in Drive for desktop. When you search in Drive for desktop, rather than in Windows Search or macOS Spotlight, it ensures that your search includes all files from the Drive streaming location.

After you install the Dropbox desktop app on your computer, you can access Dropbox from the icon in your taskbar (Windows) or menu bar (Mac) or the Dropbox folder in File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).

Keychain is a password management system for Mac. Dropbox requires access to your Keychain to help verify your account and to provide another layer of security over the Dropbox desktop app preferences.

Dropbox Web Helper supports the Dropbox user interface on Mac computers. It only runs when the desktop app is running. 


Dropbox Web Helper is an independent process, so it may start and stop at different times than the desktop app. If you adjust your firewall or antivirus software for Dropbox, we recommend similar adjustments for Dropbox Web Helper.

Imaging Edge Desktop is a desktop application that integrates the three functions of the Imaging Edge series (Remote, Viewer, and Edit) into one. From the Home screen, you can perform tasks such as starting and updating each function, logging in to your account, and checking notifications.

Choose Download remote desktop file. Your browser prompts you to either open or save the RDP shortcut file. When you have finished downloading the file, choose Cancel to return to the Instances page.

Create another user with administrator privileges on the instance. This is a safeguard incase you forget the administrator password or have a problem with theadministrator account. The new user must have permission to access the instanceremotely. Open System Properties by right-clicking on theThis PC icon on your Windows desktop or File Explorerand selecting Properties. Choose Remotesettings, and choose Select Users to add theuser to the Remote Desktop Users group.

Access all your Box files directly from your desktop, without taking up much hard drive space. Box Drive is natively integrated into Mac Finder and Windows Explorer, making it easy to share and collaborate on files.

Adobe doesn't recommend that you uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. However, you may be required to do so in certain scenarios, such as when troubleshooting or if there is an issue with the installer.


Ensure that you uninstall all Creative Cloud apps from your device. The Creative Cloud desktop app can only be uninstalled if all Creative Cloud apps (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro) have already been uninstalled. Learn how to uninstall or remove Creative Cloud apps.

Ensure that all your files are synced to your Creative Cloud account before running the uninstaller. Files not synced to your Creative Cloud account could be lost.
